If any of the athletes are "OK'd" to play the week of the FSU game...the haters will say that ND cares more about football than academic honesty. It has to be this week or the week after FSU in my opinion.

The question I am struggling with is could this mean that they all have heard and it's bad news that none of them can play but Kelly told them to keep quiet and to stay off Twitter.? Again, no idea if decisions have been made, but the impression was given that they have been and the students should know by now what their punishment is going to be moving forward. Hope I'm wrong.

I feel like at some point it will be known that a decision has been made. Then it's just a matter of looking for these guys at practice/on saturday/walking around campus/working at 7-11 in their hometown.

I really don't think these guys will be able to keep the decision quiet. No matter what happens, the news will get out quickly. Just my opinion.

True. Especially since some family members are quite vocal. Even if the players were quiet a friend or family member would be saying something. Still don't understand the delay. Maybe they opted to notify by pony express

From where did you get that impression?

I assume the decisions have not been completed and communicated to the players yet and if they were, the players may have appealed those decisions which means another week to conclude appeal.

This is academia where everything takes 5 times as long as the real world.

I'm sure this has already been said, but my take is that if it is good news you'll hear from DD or KVR on twitter. There is no doubt in my mind they would announce that they're back. If we don't hear anything by the end of today it is bad news. This means that all the verdicts were bad and they are appealing the decisions. This is all assuming that BK saying they would hear by yesterday or today is true.

I don't think we'll hear anything today. I doubt BK was told the truth. They've obviously given zero fucks about telling him anything, much less accurate timeframes.
