Only thing that's changed in the last hour is a reserve player with little chance to see significant playing time. I feel you guys pain, but it could have been worse.

I wonder if they're doing a quickie presser to avoid giving the large media outlets a chance to stream it all as breaking news and thereby try to avoid a second version of the circus they created with the original announcements.

haha, ya it would be nice they handled it like every other football program in America handles bad news. Only Notre Dame brightens the light on itself to reveal bad news. I mean I really wanted to be angry at a lot of hack journalists for jumping all over it the way they did but it was really big deal because ND made it a really big deal.

Yeah but it appears the investigation is complete so if there were any other players involved, they would have announced it with the fifth one. The fate of the "original four" at this point is all I would expect is left to be announced.

FWIW my dad's boss's ex-wife works at ND and she said more players are to be announced involved with the academic violations...

So much of these interwebz rumors have been perpetuated by this type of scenario. No offense irishandy, but many of the n-th hand sources have been wrong up to this point.

I just hope to God this is wrong....for the sake of ND football and this board.
