You have to remember there's normal 1-10 standards, and then there's South Bend standards. South Bend really only goes from 1-8, if that, because there's few if any actual 8's on campus. All numbers have to be skewed as such.

It's like a 3 star in Texas is really like a 4 star anywhere else. A 6 by normal standards is like an 8 in South Bend.
