This is the real issue here. It almost seems that there is an agenda from inside against the football program.

There's 1/3 of the BoT that hates football and I think that shines through everything. Might not be the case here, as I'm completely unsure how this all came to light. Investigation? Snitching? Professor?

I mean UNC ran a school sponsored cheating program for YEARS with virtually no ramifications. ND gets a rogue tutor and hell rains down on the senior leadership of the team?

Don't you have to be caught cheating twice before you get suspended (I vaguely remember talking about it when it happened to Golson)? So if that is correct and they get suspended that would make it their second time.

No, it's pretty much one and done. You get one semester of academic probation if you don't have the grades to get them up but cheating is pretty much an auto-suspension for students and athletes alike. Such a strange situation if true... Those guys come from a bunch of different majors/class years for the most part. Its hard to imagine they would all be in the same class unless it was a FYS class, but to have something unearthed now is odd timing.

Parents looking to build their children into men want them held accountable for their actions. Golson got a second chance, he can redeem himself. The same will be available for these guys (assuming we are talking academic "transgressions" here).

There is literally no 100% concrete information out there right now.

Vacating wins? Maybe. Suspensions? Definitely... Length? Unknown. Option to return? Unknown.

You know who it affects, and you know that it is generally related to academic issues with a rogue tutor/person/girl. That's all there is to discuss right now.

We will miss a few beats, but I agree that if this is the case, the season is still salvageable.

It's beyond that though. This shit happens every single fucking year. Next year it will be some other key guy. We all want to see an ND team make the playoffs and compete for a NC. With this type of stuff, it will NEVER happen.

It impacts starting talent, depth, recruiting, everything. We basically self-impose sanctions on a yearly basis. It's gotten to the point where I am genuinely surprised to hear good news and bad news like this doesn't even faze me. I'm disappointed and bummed, but surprised? No way, not with ND.

That's what I don't get. So the female wanted sex and the players wouldn't give it to her (come on guys, really?), and so she said she'd write papers if they bang her?

I believe there's something big going on, but that part doesn't add up. This is guys we're talking about.

Yeah I don't see how this hurts us in recruiting, if a kid doesn't want to come to a school because they suspend players for cheating then quite frankly I wouldn't want the kid and that kid would probably not pick ND because they don't want to work hard in the classroom anyways.

KVR is a veteran top round NFL draft pick. Don't think he'll be replaced easily.

Ishaq and Daniels I tend to agree, although both are complete players and vets. Makes staying healthy of insane importance now.
