Not following the vacated wins thoughts. The investigation is over. If the administration wanted to vacate wins, wouldn't they know that by now? Student council is to decide punishment, not outcome, or am I getting this wrong?

There's basically two things in play. The first is that the players currently enrolled have to have due process. The second is that you have a big investigation where the findings will be given to our compliance department and they determine what has to happen from there. Surprisingly, the two don't really overlap that much.

The vacating wins things I don't really get either, but it really looks like it's a product of wanting to demonstrate institutional control. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out, no idea when we'll actually get a resolution. I'd imagine Phase 1 of the info release will be player status. Phase 2 will be overall findings and vacate/no vacate/etc.

Agreed. If they even consider vacating wins, I want that entire admin to pack their bags and get the fuck out. That would be a total and utter embarrassment to the University. That isn't upholding integrity. It's creating a bunch of bullshit for nothing. Makes your life and everyone else's at the University that much harder just to pat yourself on the back thinking "we did the right thing..."

I think it interesting the diminished interest, let alone panic, after Saturday nights game.

As time goes on I don't thing of it as an indication of a necessarily bad outcome, as opposed to good, but I can't think of a scenario where there isn't conflict within the university (individuals or groups) over this situation.
