Sweet Baby Ray's makes a pretty legit buffalo sauce the substitutes for hot sauce pretty well.

SBRs is good stuff all round for store bought....

They're out of Sea Isle City in New Jersey so I doubt it makes it out your way. Lots of garlic and not too much vinegar. It's amazing on eggs.

Yeah it's not my go-to, but ACamp already hit on the joys of Cholula, so I fell back onto my recent discovery.

Made a buffalo chicken casserole thing for dinner last week. The regular buffalo dip didn't spread and cover the base dish (cauliflower) like I wanted, so I supplemented with the SBR buffalo stuff we had in the pantry. It was cool, worked just as well as Frank's or Crystal's.

An anti-Muslim billboard disparaging the Prophet Muhammad that can be seen from the southbound lanes of I-465 on the east side is drawing concern from local Muslims.

Shahid said the billboard, which she saw on southbound I-465 near the Washington Street exit, was brought to her attention Friday by an anonymous tipster.

I would argue that neither of us has more than a rudimentary knowledge of the Quran, so I am not going to argue with a muslim about the meanings their book no more than I would want them to tell us that our book says that women must not have authority over men and be silent (Timothy 2:12), that revenge against enemies could include killing babies (Psalm 137) or for wives to submit to their husbands (1 Peter 2:18). We all know those aren't encompassing of the message of our book. So I find it disingenuous for us to take random FB memes of Quran verses and make overarching accusations of theirs. Just my opinion.

My bigger beef is that billboards cost a lot of money. This guy could have helped a veteran get an apartment, helped start a youth program in his city, helped his church fund a mission trip, etc, etc.... but no.... let's buy a billboard to harass the local muslim population. Just a nasty look.

Anti-Muslim billboard owned by businessman with history of inflammatory rhetoric

A Virginia-based outdoor advertising seller with a history of inflammatory statements on Islam is the owner of the Interstate 465 billboard that is featuring an anti-Muslim ad.

IndyStar on Tuesday traced the billboard to a firm called LightPoint Impressions. Don Woodsmall, who was listed as a principal on the firm's website, responded to inquiries from IndyStar with a 500-word statement in which he said he sold the ad to a "group of patriotic Americans" who were denied advertising by national companies.

Woodsmall declined to name the group behind the ad, saying it requested anonymity.

"Their desire, born out of love and not hate, is to launch a national conversation," Woodsmall said in the statement.

The east-side billboard, headlined "The Perfect Man," does not mention the Prophet Muhammad by name, but makes several oft-repeated claims that have previously been used to disparage him and, by extension, Islam. The billboard can be seen from the southbound lanes of I-465 near Washington Street.

Islamic leaders contacted by IndyStar denounced the ad as untruthful and lacking context, and a blatant attempt to stoke anti-Muslim fervor. They called for the people behind it to come forward.

"It's just a group of cowards who are not even ready to put their name behind it," said Rima Shahid, executive director of the Muslim Alliance of Indiana.

Woodsmall, a Charlottesville, Va., businessman, said he researched Islam after being approached by the group that wanted to buy the ad.

"Upon learning what they wanted to post, my first question was, like most Americans, 'Is it true?'" he said. "After talking to a half-dozen Islamic scholars and receiving and reviewing numerous citations from Islamic law and literature, I was convinced that each point listed on the billboard was historically and factually true."

Yet, Woodsmall formed at least some of his views on Islam long before the "Perfect Man" billboard went up in Indianapolis.

Woodsmall has spent several years criticizing Wake Forest University Imam Khalid Griggs and calling for the university to hold a debate on Shariah law, according to published reports.

Woodsmall in 2015 sent a letter to tens of thousands of Wake Forest University alumni encouraging a donor boycott over Griggs, according to The Washington Post. Woodsmall, a Wake Forest graduate, called Griggs a jihadist and "an active supporter of Sharia Law." The university stood behind Griggs.

Woodsmall acknowledged "there are those who might be offended" by his Indianapolis billboard and said he would remove the ad "if any of the facts are shown to be untrue."

Chris Kopf, who was listed on the LightPoint Impressions website as a co-principal, distanced himself from Woodsmall when reached by IndyStar.
