I was at the Banks the other day, and there were like 10 Pokestops all in the area from there down to Smale Park, and they all had lures set up. It's prime hunting down there.

I walked down to the River today past the banks and caught an Onix and some other stuff.

The lure I just set up is in the Omnicare building I think.

That's absolutely insane, especially when you consider how terrible the app, qua app, is. Sometimes concept trumps execution I suppose. Hopefully someone who knows what they're doing throws all sorts of optimization dollars at this and they monetize the shit out of it.

Aside from the server issues in the first two days, it really isn't that bad.

You have to figure out a lot of things on your own and share information with other trainers... but isn't that kind of the whole spirit of the Pokemon world lol?

Twitter is eternal, for there is always stuff going on in the world (like Kim Kardashian eating a lettuce wrap or some other inane twitter worthy post).

This seems more like a fad that will die out, but I guess Pokemon has been big for awhile now.

You're not still having server issues? I don't run into the "the servers are down" message as often as I had been, but the game still freezes far too often. I know it's NBD in a world with infinite Pokestops and infinite Pokeballs, but it's extremely frustrating to have to force-stop the game after it freezes on the caught Pokemon animation when you only have access to one or two Pokestops a day.

I read somewhere that since Go came out Nintendos market value has increased by 7.5 billion dollars. So I'd assume they will be throwing some money at it for sure.

I haven't had any freezes or server issues since the morning after it came out.

I've had the issue where you catch a pokemon but then the pokeball just sits there and nothing happens, but I think that's an issue when I'm in a tricky spot for wifi.

I guess it does help in overlooking the wifi/data/gps reliance and server bugs when I'm in a spot that is full of activity.

It just gives you higher XP for half an hour on everything you do.

I also learned today that you start getting better Pokeballs once you hit level 12.

Nah, that's a server issue I'm pretty sure. It happens to me when I'm sitting three feet from my 150 Mbps router or when I'm on perfectly clean LTE.

I've noticed this tends to happen when the game is loading at the exact same time the pokemon is captured. As long as the little white poke all isn't spinning when the pokemon stops wriggling then it's good.

Let's you toggle between using a camera view of the Pokémon or just a generic grass field. I have it set to the grass field.
