I'll never compare a Notre Dame team led by Charlie Weis to a Notre Dame team led by Brian Kelly.

Yea, BK's system really does develop players. Kids that buy in and do whats asked of them get better from year to year.

I'm not saying they're the same situations, I'm just saying that's why I'm tempering my expectations. I'm used to the let down. But I'm sure by August 2015 I'll be leaking Koolaid.

Did Devin Butler transfer or leave the team or get expelled?

Also did White decommit?

Hey, I wonder how much Chuck Martin contributed to player development and if he will be missed in that capacity at ND?

(Just thought I would put it here because it has as much to do with SC as any recent post.)

Shame they kicked the opening kickoff out of bounds. Wanted to see him show off the speed early.

Shaken up...saying good things about him.
Having a front seat watching south Florida football, I am not easily impressed, or influenced by many high school programs. But the Saint Edward's players, and coaching staff, really impressed me. Very well coached offensive and defensive lines, and the play of quarterback Brett Keane, and halfback Cole Gest, was outstanding(include number 26 for Saint Edward's in this assessment). Shaun Crawford...two passes defended, and a ten yard reception. Notre Dame would do well recruiting players from the Saint Edward's program. Again, Saint Edward's is a very well coached high school football team.

As someone who grew up 20 min from St. Ed's, I can't tell you how weird it is to see it typed out as Saint Edward's.

It's crazy to see the swing in football NE Ohio has taken. 10 years ago, Ed's was decent, but not great, and the area was dominated by Iggys, Solon, Mentor, and Strongsville (where I'm from). Strongsville has now dropped out and Eds has moved in. It's very weird.

I agree I am from Chardon (Div 2) and we beat Ed's (Div 1) in 1998. They where not very good that year so it is very weird to see them ranked above Iggy.

St Eds quit losing their kids to Glenville. Old Ted Ginn can't poach them like he used to.

Glenville is like 40 min from St. Eds. Is that really what was happening? Iggys is closer to Glenville, right? Or even Lake Catholic or U School.

Yep. Quite a few kids left Ed's for Glenville. Troy Smith was one. In their hey day Glenville was getting kids from all over the Cleveland area.
