I never got around to making one these, but I took the dogs to Petsmart today and guess what I saw......

Someone plagiarized you.

Yeah, the paracord stuff is popping up everywhere as of late. It's okay though. I'm the only one I know of in my area with it. I actually have to make another for my black mutt and one for the beagle. I had some pet shampoo spill in a bag when I moved that ruined a lot of stuff. Oh well. It gives me an excuse to break out the 550.

Wooly... I've found some pretty good trout streams within a few hours of me. I plan on hitting them up in the next few months. Wish me luck!

I had the beast shaved yesterday. I like his militaristic, attention to detail 'before' pose, and afterwards it's 'no hair, don't care'.

Koon, are you old enough to own a dog?

I count doggie years, so he's my elder. He takes care of me.

Here's a pic of him shopping for beer last week. He always gets pissed when they don't count doggie years at the counter.

Okay so my wife and I lost our boys over the course of the last year (Timon and Pumba, mentioned earlier in the thread) to old age... we now have one 7-8 year old cat Gipper.

We are thinking our next pet will prob be a dog, or a dog and cat together as puppy and kitten and let them grow together... we are good on the cat... for the dog we want something that presents SOME form of security while not being too big...

we are thinking bulldog of some sort and both love English Bulldogs but I doubt we are willing to pay that much (those dogs are fing expensive)...

Bullmastiff??
Old English BD??
American bull??

Thoughts? Anyone with experience with these types of dogs in terms of temperament, cost, etc??

Long haired dogs could present a problem... I think we want to avoid those breeds.

Australian Shepherd.

I've had two Aussies. Super smart dogs. But also super high maintenance. You have to walk them at least twice a day or they lose their shit. One of mine was a great dog, my current one is a shithead.

ACamp, I thought you were a bulldog guy anyways?

In terms of dogs I could see myself owning, yes... that's why I'm asking for insight as we may move on a dog sometime in the next year. I've never owned a dog of any sort myself.

take a look at labradoodles.
if you can find the right one, little shedding, smart like a poodle, easy going personality like a lab, barks at anything outside, and will mix it up when need be. Great personalities.
There are different variations, but my buddies looks like this except light brown. They shave up well too.

THAT is def a possibility... anyone ever own one or have any experience with these types of dogs??

What do you like about Bulldogs? They are cool looking, and all dogs are good, but it's one breed that I don't get the appeal. They have short lifespans, medical problems, oily skin and smell no matter how much you wash them.
