I think this is the best chance for an undefeated to lost next weekend. Is anyone watching Cal vs. Oregon? Stanford will run all over them. Oregon's front 7 is charmin soft.

Oregon is without all 4 starting defensive linemen and starting safety.

I could watch that last Cal drive one hundred times. Beautiful football. Impose your will.

If Cal is able to recreate that last drive... Oregon will be in serious trouble.

Given all of Oregon's injuries tonight, including guys who are banged up but have come back into this game, it is looking more realistic that Cal can hang with them for all four quarters. What a day this would be if Cal could pull it off.

God I hate it when teams try to attack the edge against Oregon. You're never going to be faster than them. The way is not AROUND it is OVER.

Stanford can hang with them and possibly win! Oregon still has Stanford and a pretty darn good OSU on their schedule plus the PAC 12 Championship. Oregon has the toughest road without a doubt.

Agreed this game could save the day for us but if not don't sleep on the Texas vs K-State game, I think that could actually be our saving grace. All for not if we don't take care of business though. I think next week will be similar to last nights game and then all the stops put out for SC. The thing that's got me is that I believe we are gonna win every week, I can't say that has always been the case. There is something special going on this year and things are falling into place for us, just gotta take care of ours!

Stanfords offense is garbage right now. This game won't be close.

Yea that was a pretty sloppy win yesterday.. but if they can establish the run and lean on Ertz in play action, they have a shot to keep up and possibly pull out the win.

At least we know they have a disciplined defense and shouldn't be lulled to sleep by Mariota's mummy-esque play action form.

I agree.. Everything has gone our way so far. Why expect that to change now? I'll be rooting for Stanford and expecting to play KSU in Miami.

While it is nice to dream and hope, and I am not saying that Stanford has no chance at beating Oregon, it is highly unlikely. Texas has a better chance of beating KS. I think the best chance of an Oregon loss will be USC beating them in the conference championship game (assuming USC gets there).

We of course need to beat USC in LA. This is no sure thing either. We seem to be getting sloppy of late and I hope this gets turned around. Either way it has been a great season.

I don't know if Stanford is going to be able to keep up with them speed wise.

Stanford needs to force a couple of turnovers to have a shot, IMO. They don't have the firepower to keep up with Oregon and their defense has had huge trouble with Oregon's speed in their last two meetings.

I do think Oregon is the best team in the country... I have been saying this since about week three... But I also think they have the most difficult road to the title game of the three ( not that KSU or ND have easy roads)... I am expecting them to drop one... And if they play USC again I'm all in for SC... As we all know, it is VERY hard to beat a good team twice in the same season.

My skepticism heavily outweighs my confidence but I still think if Stanford can control the ball and run through Oregon for long drives and put it in the end zone.. they have a shot.

Agreed. Stanford has to beat Oregon exactly how ND would have to beat Oregon.

I'd take Stanford at 22 points in a heartbeat. And not just b/c I'm rooting for them.

Yeah, Oregon's fast, but they've struggled with big, tough, punch-you-in-the-mouth front sevens the last couple of years. Auburn the 2010 title game. LSU. Even last year's USC team.
Stanford may not have a ton of firepower on offense, but their D loves to punch people in the mouth. I think they're the best front seven in the country outside of us and the SEC. Also it would appear this new QB is an upgrade on the guy who played against us.

If they can make Mariota beat them, force a couple of turnovers, and play ball control on offense, I think they've got a good shot.

Does anyone know if Oregon D'Line will be banged up coming into this match as well. I believe their top 5 Defensive Lineman are injured at the moment. Also, their top corner looked like he hurt his knee real bad last night.

22.5 is a huge line. Stanford needs to rush for 200-225 yards and control the clock if they want to have a chance in the fourth. Although that's kind of obvious.

Oregon hasn't played a defense like stanfords all year. Oregon may win but it will be their toughest game yet.

Stanford plays defense like ND does, I think they have the best shot at stopping Oregon
