No one attacked TP personally. I stated I liked the guy and that he's a valuable member of the board. What I criticized is the way we take his credibility as infallibility. He is credible. As I said, he's right far more often than he is not. And when he is correct, we give him all the glory. The issue is that when he's wrong, like with McDermott, we're not even allowed to point it out. It gets completely whitewashed and that feeds into the narrative that everything TP posts is gospel. It's not, but it's gotten to the point where if you point out an instance where he is wrong, someone comes up with a poorly constructed excuse("maybe he was eating lucky charms") or someone points out that TP's tweet was too vague to warrant blame. That's the whole point behind the tweets and the hints, that they're vague enough for him to get credit for when the news is positive and vague enough to be able to shirk culpability when it's bad information. All I'm saying is there's something fundamentally wrong with the concept of being able to heap endless praise on TP on this board when he's right, but not being able to point out on this board an instance where he's wrong.
Shamanism (pron.: /ˈʃɑːmən/ SHAH-mən or /ˈʃeɪmən/ SHAY-mən) is a practice that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to encounter and interact with the spirit world.[2] A shaman is a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of benevolent and malevolent spirits, who typically enters into a trance state during a ritual, and practices divination and healing.[3]
The term "shamanism" is presently often used as a umbrella term referring to a variety of spiritual practices, although it was first applied to the ancient religion of the Turks and Mongols, as well as those of the neighboring Tungusic and Samoyedic-speaking peoples. The word "shaman" originates from the Evenk language (Tungusic) of North Asia and was introduced to the west after Russian forces conquered the shamanistic Khanate of Kazan in 1552. Upon learning more about religious traditions across the world, western scholars also described similar magico-religious practices found within the indigenous religions of other parts of Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Americas as shamanism. Various historians have argued that shamanism also played a role in many of the pre-Christian religions of Europe, and that shamanic elements may have survived in popular culture right through to the Early Modern period. Various archaeologists and historians of religion have also suggested that shamanism may have been a dominant pre-religious practice for humanity during the Palaeolithic.
Mircea Eliade writes, "A first definition of this complex phenomenon, and perhaps the least hazardous, will be: shamanism = 'technique of religious ecstasy'."[4] Shamanism encompasses the premise that shamans are intermediaries or messengers between the human world and the spirit worlds. Shamans are said to treat ailments/illness by mending the soul. Alleviating traumas affecting the soul/spirit restores the physical body of the individual to balance and wholeness. The shaman also enters supernatural realms or dimensions to obtain solutions to problems afflicting the community. Shamans may visit other worlds/dimensions to bring guidance to misguided souls and to ameliorate illnesses of the human soul caused by foreign elements. The shaman operates primarily within the spiritual world, which in turn affects the human world. The restoration of balance results in the elimination of the ailment.[4]
There is some absurdity going on here. Here's four steps to reconciliation if you have reached hate mode:
1) stop hating on TP.
2) stop hoping your posts won't be nuked for hating on TP.
3) stop mindlessly jacking off over TP's posts. If the guy misses one, he's still batting in the .900s.
4) thanks for reading.
He's got good insider info from deep within. But even they get it wrong.
Do you think Kelly expected to lose Neal? No way.
TP is one of the guys I would enjoy being around in real life. He's caught in a struggle here, from what I can tell in my brief lurking, that he can do nothing about. The only result allowing him out would be departure and that's ABSURD.
So, back the fvck up, read his posts if you want >90% positive confirmation (est.) and if not use the ignore feature.
To me, this is about jealousy and nothing else. Wooly was thrust into this situation because of what the jealousy created. Not by himself but by the others. And then head hunters from both sides with their vigilante-like efforts sought out their hypothesized culprit.
Great idea docuhers. How'd that go?
I feel like I'm watching a church split the sheets over "Rapture."
Johnny, welcome back but I feel betrayed. My naivety led me to believe that your previous avatar was actually you? Now you have a picture of what I THINK is Mac from 'Always Sunny in Philadelphia'. So the mullet was never you... Today is a dark day.

Johnny is actually acknowleging that he is Miley Cyrus' father.
So that would make him like JimmyMac's father-in-law or something. And my brother from another mother. So it is all relative.
(Kuehnja, he wasn't Johnny Latner, either!)
I don't have a horse in this race. I really like a whole bunch of people on this site. Only one person on this site I don't particularly care for and they are not or never have been a moderator, and have nothing to do with this conversation.
I posted the piece on Shamanism to point out the absurdity of this situation: First, who would know anything for sure, except the fact that I know TP knew EV was in the fold. The rest is human communication.
Second, the actual problem, and part of it is caused by EVERYONE, is that TP either gets deified or demonized, depending on ones perspective. This isn't about any poster, this is just human nature. I appreciate TP's perspective and tips. I consider them a gift. I never take what his say for anything more. I don't take what any one person says as gospel, but if the whole choir is singing . . . I'm good.
Now the problem intensifies when some read into everything TP posts. There is no easy way for most to separate personal opinion from a joke, let alone from something TP actually knows. And for most that can't tell the difference, it leads to frustration and upset; unless you take it all for what it is worth, a gift. Take it or leave it, so to speak!
The other thing to keep in mind is frustration comes in when a person is not allowed to express their opinion. I have seen more than a little frustration lately when TP has expressed his opinion, and is motivated by knowing the people involved, and others who don't know the people involved, express their opinions, and are labeled "wrong" or stifled. My daughters wonder why my youngest son was so quick to hit them. It went like this. They were older and more sophisticated that he. They told him he was wrong, and had no interest in listening to him.
He never could get his two cents worth in. I cannot help but seeing that same thing in many of the arguments here. Posters need to ask more questions, than prove what they know; and players and recruits are going to just have to deal with being under the microscope.

I'm awful at keeping up on pop culture, who sings what song, and who won oscars. You should see me at team trivia. I just sit around, nod my head and pray we get a Notre Dame or college football question.
Dude you are a hard one to figure out...No shakespeare, no Cyrus,....
Were you brought up in a bubble or do you just not give one **** about anything?
Mullets were near extinction by Kuehn's time. Give him a break.
While I'm here in the land of banished posts:
Irishlax – I reacted to your boasting of "My first action as a Mod" or some such thing in a recruit's thread since you had every opportunity to delete NDinL.A.'s post and thread but chose not to do so. You made no mention of just what letter of what law was in jeopardy. NDinL.A.'s post was clearly a violation of IE "laws" but was allowed to stand. The thread was closed by the time I decided it was worth the bother to respond. My only real option was to respond to your post in a recruit's thread. "Take it to PM" is bullsh¡t when different levels of compliance and consequence are applied capriciously.
The two times I've been given "time-outs/vacations" the removal of my posts and banishment were swift and damn near simultaneous. The man knew his post was malicious and ban-worthy. The mealy mouthed reactions by mods (and J Pham) were clearly preferential equivocation.
I have an image of you as a Domer wandering around the Los Angeles International Airport in full ND regalia. LAX was an airport code to me long before it was an abbreviation for lacrosse.
Sleep well.
I spend wayyyy to much time on here. That's why I know nothing.
Aren't you guys basically the same age?
I'm an old soul.
Seriously, I have more gray in my hair than many 40 year olds.

...But I just wanted to say, that this would have been my mom's 95th birthday, but I woke up to hear that my latest princess granddaughter was born at 6:14 AM! Pretty cool!
Johnny is actually acknowleging that he is Miley Cyrus' father.
no one has figured out how to do that yet... it just seems to happen by accident.
She calls me Papi.
But as far as needing to make a statement derogatory in nature to another reputable poster who's constantly scooping great recruitnik stuff for us, I disagree in full.
Stop hatin' and get off the bullsh!t.
I'm not saying its you or the lack of a horse you have in this race.
I would bet I've had more posts deleted than anybody else on this site. Lol. And rightfully so.
If someone needs to be heard, there's counselors for that kind of stuff...
Grats on the new baby. I'll pray for her health and her family's as well.
