i'll go under, I think ND has a lot of balance in this game similar to Stanford.

Assuming we win like I think, I would go over. I think they'll have to stack the box early and there will be several long TDs. I see this as a more sudden score game than a methodical drive game. So long as we're the ones suddenly scoring.

yup, but Book had 275 vs a much better Stanford pass defense.
i think ultimately we're going to get a lot more YAC in this game.

My hope is one of the freshman get their first TD. I'm guessing based on snaps, it'll be Austin but it could be Smith

FEI projects an 8-point Irish victory with a 71.5% chance of at least winning outright:

Jesse Palmer thinks VT will stay back in a zone and only rush 3/4

I don't see how they can afford to do that. If they give Book all day to pick them apart I think he'll do it. I feel like they almost have to be aggressive.

Maybe Palmer believes they will cover up the receivers & spy Book in hopes of frustrating him into forcing passes. He has to acknowledge that Foster will send some inside blitzes. The whole stadium knows that’s coming on a first year starting qB.

I think whatever they do, they're F'd... they're not good against the pass anyway, so if they sit back, our TE and RBs will kill them. if they stack the box, book will pick them apart with quick short and medium tosses..

Go Irish

His point was their defensive backfield was poor and needed to sit back in a zone to keep everything in front of them. He also said this was what worked against Duke so expect them to keep doing it.

Without consistent pressure, Book isn't going to force passes. He'll have all day to go through his progressions. Even with 8 in coverage, VT isn't going to be able to cover ND's receivers for that long. ND also has the capability to dump it to a RB or TE if need be. That hasn't really been an option for any team VT has played up to this point.

FSU's offensive line was a matador convention, so Francois had no time to make proper reads or go through progressions.

W&M sucks.

Duke had no run game and a QB playing with a plate in his clavicle, with no running option or legit TE to throw to as a contingency.

ND's greatest weapon the last 2 weeks has been it's versatility. It doesn't matter what you try, ND has an out to it.

If this is the plan, good luck. ND will methodically make it's way down field all night.

But Balki, perhaps you haven't heard. VT is going to play a Metallica song. I dont know how you steel yourself for that kind of craziness.

I think they believe their DL (which is their best unit on D) can get penetration. I'm going to say, they will not, lol...

ESPN showed quick segments for BK and Tillery a few minutes ago... BK said they'd be in the locker room during Metallica lol, and Tillery was talking about how the D flies around.

As long as ND's offensive line doesn't implode, ND will be fine and will get the W.

Going to be a long day. Might as well pass the time with kegs, devil's triangle and boofing.

I boofed around 6:30am after my morning caffeine. I think I will have a celebratory can or two after the vote, but.... ..Holding out till 6PMish before I start pounding bud lights and playing drinking games. . Could start earlier if the Gators pound LSU...

Let me guess: he also picked Notre Dame to lose to Michigan, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and Stanford.
