I might be crazy... But wouldn't ESPN kind of want to keep the Wazzu gameday drought going? I feel like it adds a neat storyline that ironically keeps Wazzu almost relevant - at least visually - by having their flag everywhere.

Me NOT trolling an actual piece of ND-ESPN news is like Wooly not trolling a thread about how to properly field dress a black bear or Camp not trolling a thread about how eating tri-tip is scientifically proven to make you prefer white girls. Not gonna happen.

I don't follow with the Camp statement. I thought that since he's pro-tri tip and pro-non whites that tri tip leads to...I have no idea what the term is for not liking white girls.

Are we actually talking about breakfast now? Because give me a full Scottish breakfast with a big old pile of haggis any day.

Oat cakes are the shit... and that's pretty much where the list of quality Scottish food ends...

I just think it's so despicable how ESPN exploits us by going to such a high proportion of our away games and never paying it back by coming to home games. Going to our game against Temple and not our game against USC? Seriously?

Do you REALLY want to be in the same convo as Wooly and ACamp though?

I mean REALLY?

Don't they prefer to go to games that they or ABC can broadcast?

Without knowing anything about their history, I'm guessing this is now Temple's biggest game ever.

I watched their game against East Carolina and we should beat them by 3 touchdowns. So, yes?

You should know better. Typical opponent circles the date on the calendar. Team gets hyped, fans get hyped, Cosby puts on a Temple sweatshirt, they play their best game of the year and the game is closer than it should be.

Seriously??? I'm Scottish and even I won't touch that stuff...
I can't speak to the quality of anything available in the United States, but I've had fresh haggis in Scotland and it was amazing. It's all a mental block. Once you forget what it is and just dig in, it's sweet and savory and amazing.

Yes, and I guess that's just the whole thing. I just don't like being "used" like this -- improve their ratings dramatically when we are playing away games, but never having the favor returned being able to market the university when we are playing home games. It's such an awesome publicity campaign when teams get to host it that we don't get reciprocated.

Wow, looking through the College Gameday Twitter there are a lot of pissed off Washington State fans. Seriously, you lost to an FCS, and you're probably going to get crushed by Stanford, get over it.

Also, I can't remember, but who is this on IE?

I mean they did come in 2012 when we played Stanford. We haven't exactly been that great over the course of this past decade, so can't really fault them for not being at many of our home games over that time span.

Absolutely not calling out Notre Dame's fan base on this either, but the showing at the 2012 setup vs Stanford (which I was present at) was very average to some of the amount of people they get to come to live broadcasts at other locations.

'SportsCenter on the Road' visits Notre Dame - ESPN Front Row

We'll get GameDay and if when the matchup dictates it as the best game on the slate, even if it's an NBC game. Unfortunately for us, USC came in with two losses. If we win out, we should get Stanford. Florida-Florida State and Oklahoma-Oklahoma State are that week's competition.

Regardless, I don't want GameDay on campus this year. The stadium looks hideous right now.

I love this guy, make sure to watch his blog this week. By the end of the week he's going to be sipping so much Kool-Aide that Temple is going to steamroll us. This is the same guy that said Temple was going to beat us in 2013 because they played better against the same teams in previous years (Even though we didn't face these same teams in those same years), and because Temple was going to destroy us with 500 half back passes with their former QB turned RB (They didn't throw any, if I recall).

He's already getting anxious and throwing out the trick play ploy:

One thing I'm interested to see is how much of the crowd is ND fans. The secondary market for this game is INSANE right now... from Temple fans trying to get tickets. But early in the year when no one thought Temple would be any good, a large chunk of the tickets were purchased by local ND fans. I'm guessing it's about 25% ND at a least.

Normally I would assume 40% or more ND fans...but Temple seems to have a sizable fan base. There was a very solid Temple showing at the 2013 game in SB- even as big as MSU or UNC, as I recall.
