I'm usually from the Lou school of how can we possibly beat this team etc-especially with 2 lineman out-not this time boys espn will have to sit back and watch Notre Dame win this game-i'm pissed at their constant bull&#@*

The injuries is what has me thinking it could be back to reality.

2008 ND vs UNC is on right now. Gotta love the reminder that Clausen, Floyd, Rudolph, Tate, and Armando Allen was enough talent to get us to 6-6 on the season (7-6 with a bowl game). Man were those years difficult yet fun to watch

Clausen/Tate/Floyd in 2010 would've won 10+ games with Kelly.

I attended that game and it was so frustrating to see them lose. ND controlled first half & then opened the 2nd half w/ Clausen throwing a pick six. I still remember the last desperation play of the game to Floyd...ugh.

UNC fans were fine until they actually won the game they assumed they would lose. i happened to be wearing an ND jersey (Kelly green Montana throwback) and got into a shouting match w/ some UNC fans when they made some snide remarks about ND. My buddies were UNC fans so I told them we needed to GTFO.

The North Carolina will win this one" picks are not limited to ESPN. CBS has a couple of guys in this camp. Ben Kerchival, who always picks us to lose, and a guy named Chip Patterson who is now kind of a lead analyst for them. His reason-Who would you rather have leading the last minute drive in a close game? He wants Sam Howell.

I guess he missed the ND-Clemson game.

I think Brandon Wimbush could lead a last minute drive vs this NC defense. (I picked him as an example of a bad QB.)

ESPN laying it on thick this morning. They want UNC to win soooooo bad.

Hope we are able to serve up a giant shitburger everyone can eat afterwards, although they would immediately go into the narrative ND will lose badly to Clemson in the rematch, while their mouth still has shit all over it.

Lay the points. Irish are ready to be road warriors and take care of business. UNC QB running his mouth should get our defense cooking.

Feel like these are the types of games ND always roll in where all the media is saying UNC is gonna win. The only voice of reason I’ve seen is MARK SANCHEZ.

This season as a microcosm for that:
Pitt would be a tough game, possible L
BC would be a tough game, possible L

A game no one thought would be a possible L and had ND scoring 40+: Louisville.

I dunno man... been confident all year but this game has me in knots... If Book doesn't play like he did the last two games, we will be in trouble

Still feels very weird ND is playing on a Friday during the day

Its annoying. Wife is working, so Im solo with the kids. I give it two series tops before they stage a mutiny for the TV.

Pull out the elf on the shelf and put him in a ND jersey, say he wants to watch it and you don't want him reporting to Santa that you made him turned it off

They're trying to ruin dad's Notre Dame time? Sounds like they need a 3 hour timeout.

I have a Iowa State vibe

I'd love to see the media react to that lol

They were able to ignore the Iowa St domination because, season was over, bigger bowls/playoffs remaining.

Do that again, now, they'll have to acknowledge it in the discussion for the rest of the year.

Replay of the 2008 game is on. The Cameron Sexton led Tar Heels beat Jimmy Claussen led Irish 29-24.

How the hell can you have a Jimmy Claussen, Golden Tate, Michael Floyd, Kyl Rudolph, Armando Allen... not to mention Charlie Weis and only score 24 points.

It was brought up on TOS, but this game reminds me of Syracuse a few years ago in Yankee Stadium.

That was a Syracuse squad sporting a really good offense with a ton of skill talent. They had also nearly beaten Clemson earlier in that season. They were averaging over 44 points going into that matchup.

Then ND punched them in the mouth and they never got up. I was kind of mad that they got that field goal in the final seconds to close the game to avoid being shutout.
