Maybe that UNC team we beat was pretty damn. good. Up 21-3 on Miami right now

We all knew what NC's offense is.

What I can't figure out is whether we're seeing an improved NC defense or a Miami offense getting exposed.

I thought UNC would put up a lot of points on ND because their offense has as much NFL talent as anyone in the country. I was shocked when ND completely shut them down in the second half, but I am DOUBLE SHOCKED after seeing them just obliterate a decent Miami team. Holy cow.

Mac Brown has got UNC looking a lot like Clemson did early in the Dabo era. A few tweaks on defense, and their recruiting class this year will do that, and they will be an obstacle to the Clemson ACC hegemony in the future.

Wait what? Miami players and fans really thought they were in the same league as Notre Dame lmfao!?

This game has to help Notre Dame in the eyes of the committee. Notre Dame went down to Chapel Hill won by two touchdowns,
with 2 starting OL guys out. And keep in mind Clemson didn’t play UNC this year.

This was about as good a result as anyone could ask for in the UNC-Miami game.

UNC gives ND another quality win by showing they're only behind us and Clemson by absolutely boat racing Miami.

Meanwhile, Miami gets obliterated and f*ck them.

100%. They were legit bitching about ND not having to play Wake Forest cuz they thought they "deserved" to be in the ACC CG.

I'm just glad the game clarified things instead of making them murkier. Not really sure they were murky anyway, at least to those to outside of the Miami fanbase. IMO they shouldn't have collapsed the ACC divisions this year. Should have just stuck us in one of the divisions and played 6 (or 7) division, 3 (or 4) crossovers, and one OoC. I know the PAC and BIG10 were challenged doing that, but they both started late and had fewer games.

I mean yeah, we shut this two headed monster. But where was the gushing when we completely shut down perhaps the best RB in ACC history.

The difference, IMO, is that while people lauded ND shutting down Etienne they also looked at it as a strategic choice where ND gave up a ton of yards through the air. When ND shut down UNC's two headed monster, it was part of a complete game where UNC's entire offense also got dominated for three quarters of football.

I think the thought process for both games was to take away the running game in both games. The difference IMO is Clemson has better QB’s and O line. We got a lot more
pressure on Carolina than we did Clemson.

UNC gonna be a pretty good team next year...see ya in SB, trick or treat.

They'll have Sam Howell but lose both RBs, I think.

Next year's schedule should be a real treat:

at Florida State
vs Toledo
vs Purdue
vs* Wisconsin (at Soldier Field)
vs Cincinnati
at Virginia Tech
BYE
vs USC
vs North Carolina
vs Navy
at Virginia
vs Georgia Tech
at Stanford

I could see that being 11 or even 12 bowl teams.
