I'm with you. Unfortunately, every fanbase has its fair share of morons.

The kid cares tremendously for the University. He sacked up when he made mistakes on and off the field. Didn't make excuses. Worked to make changes and improve. Did the best that he could. Shouldered the blame when he failed. Complemented and encouraged the players around him when he succeeded. Took big hits and got back up. Was a true sideline teammate, cheering when others looked flat out zombie. Endured pitiful boos from weak-*** "fans"...

I am all for Tommy Rees. He deserves to be applauded for what he has contributed to the University and its football program.

I will be standing next Saturday to wish him well.

This. I won't be able to make the Senior game this year, but I'll be cheering from home. Kid was asked to do a lot and shoulder this team when no one else would stand up, and nobody even expected him to start from day 1 in his recruiting. I've got respect for him, for sticking things out despite the negativity thrown his way. We might be 1-3 against SC in the last 4 years if it wasn't for Tommy. Kelly delivered a great speech at halftime during the game this year, but so did Tommy, and I wonder if that leadership isn't the reason the defense stood up in the 2nd half and kept us in the game after Tommy went down.

You may not like Tommy or some other player during their time at the University, but you better cheer for them on Senior day. It was a classless move with the snowballs 5 years ago. These guys play their hearts out for 4 years and put a lot into this program, this is a fan's chance to give a little back.

This. I won't be able to make the Senior game this year, but I'll be cheering from home. Tommy's had his short comings, but he was never expected to be the savior, so I wonder why people get all over him? He's had more good games than he has clunkers and has won a lot of games for the Irish. I didn't expect him to make the same mistakes this year that he has, but like I said, he didn't come in here as a can't miss prospect. I am grateful for the young mans ability to handle the pressure of everything and never pout.

After the Pitt game BYU has me worried big time. Hopefully this will be our Utah game for this year.

Senior day hype that lasts for about 8 minutes on the field. After that, Diaco's bend but don't break approach will result in Taysom Hill having an incredible game and keeping his uniform clean the entire time. BYU 31-10

My mind says ND loses something like 31-17. I think BYU opens at something like a 6 point favorite. BYU's offense is a bad matchup for this D the way they're playing right now, and more importantly if we can't run the ball (which there is no reason to believe we should be able to) then I don't see how we score a lot of points.

My gut says that on senior day the players are going to play their asses off, especially Tommy. And maybe we pull one out 24-21. I think it really depends on who all can play... are Ishaq, Kona, Nix, etc. going to be able to go?

I think I actually saw ND -1 offshore. I will double-check

I cannot imagine a scenario where losing 31-17 on Senior Day at home would play very well with the general population.

1000% agree. They sure as heck won't come out flat. How can anyone on here realistically believe Diaco will put together a gameplan to shut down Hill? It'll be a "Hope" he makes a mistake strategy, but he will no doubt be laser precise. I won't be setting the dvr on this game.

I hope you enjoy the game man. I, for one, enjoyed watching the Wake beatdown with you last year (my wife and I sat directly behind you), in spite of all the fans who complained when you had the audacity to stand and cheer on an undefeated team.

Relax re: BYU's Texas win. They ran for a gazillion yards because of Texas's poor defensive scheming (Diaz was fired the next day). They also lost to Virginia and barely beat Houston.

I also think ND wins, but that's because they have to raise my hopes to a crushable level for Stanford. Carlo and Fox are not very good, I don't understand why they give you any confidence. Our offensive line is amazing in pass protection, not so much in the running game. Also, our safeties aren't exactly world-beaters.

I'll lay off the predictions because at this point it's so hard to know which version of either team will show up. But let's not act like BYU is the '72 Dolphins. It's certainly a game we can win.

I thought we would lose to ASU but I think we'll beat BYU.

ND has more top 25 wins than anyone in the country. The bottom line is that we can beat a lot of very good teams if the defense is healthy and dialed in. Sadly, they're not even close to healthy. You have to believe they'll be dialed in for senior day though.

Wow no way.. That was such a great day. My g/f was about to throw down with those old dudes.

I really want the win for my nephew it's his first game. He said win or lose we wanted to go, so I felt like a true fan cheers not matter what. Trust me I give BYU plenty of props they are a good team, but I really think we are better than them, and Stanford.

Can't wait to see his face when he gets on campus. Wants to meet Troy, and Louis. He plays NT, and TE in the 8th grade.

Yes. lol. I have to admit I drive 12 hrs to see one game a yr. So I always try to pick a easy game. We all know we don't play fcs teams.
