It's not "pulling a scholarship" if he isn't committed. This whole thing is really fucking stupid. People stop recruiting kids all the time for all kinds of reasons, including injury.

By the way, we absolutely told him not to visit and that we were done recruiting him.

Yup. Was thinking the same thing. This was a spin job.

Just arrived in the Bend. Not too bad, high 60's, but.....wind direction is changing. Hope the rain is done before the tailgate hour, gonna need to be juiced for this game.

Personally I'm happy to hear we'll back off of an uncommitted prospect due to injury. The staff does have a spine in regards to keeping up with the Jones'.

Even though its silly this will more than likely be their rally point and Notre Dame will play soft against a Va Tech team playing for their place to beat Notre Dame at Notre Dame and add to their school history-I don't see us winning this game but I would like to see an edgy intense rough Notre Dame team finally drill someone. Getting tired of the same old stuff and letting teams come into Rockne Stadium and push us around. Stand up one time and play like your Notre Dame for Pete's sake.

Yep. At the Clarion (used to be the Holidome). A lot of teams stay there because we have the nicest HS football facilities in Northern Indiana to practice at. It has an 8' brick wall around the entire stadium for closed practices. Teams have been staying there since the early 80's... maybe longer.

A discusting amount of VT fans today - at O'hare and the hotel. All good folks so far, and they are stoked to come to ND for the first time. However, they are worried: bad run defense, and they can't control running QBs. I assured them all since the weather with suck that BK will abandon the run game and throw deep 50 times.

Definitely take the under today right? Weather sounds like it will slow the game down.

*But, we are dealing with an ND defense who could easily surrender 400 rushing yards in one half

Not true. BVG is gone. We are better.

Snowing and gusty winds this a.m.
Hope ND is ready to go and plays lights out for once. As said by others, tired of so so teams showing up and beating ND in our stadium, not acceptable.

Oh no! Wake Forest is not the only team that had its game plan stolen.

I'm really sad about the weather. My uncle was at the Northwestern Game back in their Rose Bowl season, and pulled the trigger this year to bring 3 of his kids. I'm guessing they will bitch about the cold and not enjoy the magic that is ND.

Unless the Irish have their magical game of the year and crush VT. You folks should be used to this type of weather, typical spring day!?!

Calling it now. ND wins big and looks like the te top 10 tem many thought thye would be. i called the Michigan shotout in Hermosa Beach two years ago and this is goign the same way. This team shiws against a legit team that their D is good and puts another nail in the BVG buddy mistake. Kizer looks good again and we run more than pass for once. Warm up for USC which is our game of the season. Time to think positive. No luck or breaks so far this year and time for the worm to turn. Keep hope alive!

34 degrees is not pleasant in the fall when you are outside for a prolonged period of time, regardless of where you come from. But yes, this would be a wonderful day in late February or early March. Perfect weather for beer darts.

There is no such thing as a wonderful day in March or April when talking about South Bend. February is fine. It's anywhere from freezing to -40 and you have no illusions of it being nice. In March people start talking that spring myth and anyone who's lived in Michiana knows that spring is a one week season that falls in the second half of May and ends the day before the official start of mosquito season.

Lol I'm referring to up here. We run into a similar problem with people getting these big ideas about March. I'd take 33 degrees with a likelihood of precipitation in March all damn day. And I'll sit outside in shorts and play beer darts.

"Michiana" in October reminded me a lot of home.

Why did they have to show that clip of BK saying getting to 6-6 is a big thing? When you were projected to have double digit wins and contend for a playoff spot? Seriously?

He just reeks of someone trying to validate the team's current 4-6 record. Pathetic.
