Looking for 2-6 tickets in the cheap seats. Will pay above face as long as I can't get them for less on the ticket exchange.

In the hypothetical situation that we lose to these guys at Yankee Stadium... is that a fireable offense for Jack Swarbrick?

I've been thinking about this regularly throughout the season. I sincerely hope that Swarbrick has lost a few hours of sleep over this so he won't get so greedy about stupid dog and pony shows in the future. I fully expect to see him on the sideline before the game like:

I thought Swarbrick's answer to II etc was that this was beyond his decision?

Agree on the Swarbrick shade. Not fire-able IMO, he has done a lot of good, but cause for a serious sit down about scheduling like a champ instead of like a Don King carnival barker every damn week. I see some value in keeping the brand alive during the dark ages but we have enough sustained success to dial it back a bit.

I could see them going to UCF for there matchup against Cincy

Almost feel that is contradicting all the crap they've been talking about UCF on Gameday and their scheduling to actually have Gameday there because that shows validation that it's a big matchup.

In fairness to Swarbrick when this was scheduled I don't think this was going to be a top 15 game or even top 40

I don't mind traveling for our brand if it is done right. Giving up a home game in November to go play a Power 5 opponent close to their school knowing you have to fly cross-country to USC the following weekend is not smart or strategic. IMO, Shamrock Series games should be done around the bye week or sandwiched with a cream puff.

Question for y'all, what was the best Shamrock Series game as in timing, opponent, location, impact it might have had etc? Maybe I'm biased because the uniforms were so slick, but I loved the game vs ASU in 2013

Navy in San Diego is your "event" for the year. Doing this in between FSU/USC is pretty damn stupid in the context of what you should expect our SoS to normally look like. Why you need to have a flashy game in between those? Absolute gift with FSU/USC sucking this year - completely unpredictable this would happen when scheduled.

I'm thankful it is above freezing all week in NYC - my understanding is Pinstripe Bowls are like playing on an ice rink. Should be good football weather. Ticket demand does not look that strong so thumbs up to Syracuse having a crappy football fan base.

You can't really play that game without noting that this game was placed between FSU and USC. It's a complete statistical anomaly that those teams aren't both at least top 30. If every team on the schedule was what they normally are, it would be Swarbrick scheduling a circus cross country road trip between two of our toughest games of the year. Swarbrick, if anything, is lucky this turned out so well.

Ok but tell me the advantage of giving up a home game to play in the Bronx in Nov? I could see if it was in a recruiting hotbed like Florida, Georgia or Texas but there’s no strategic advantage to be had by locating the game to a professional sports town where CFB just doesn’t rate & the # of elite recruits is minimal.

They should have waited till 2022 when we play @Cuse..
There's nothing I like about this move.
Hell, it's our home game, they could at least moved it somewhere farther from Syracuse. Like Florida...

How much does ND "sell" to potential recruits that they get to experience playing in ..... San Diego, Yankee Stadium, Dublin, etc etc etc?

Do recruits even care?

For the most part the SS games have been a success. I am hopeful that the thrill of the one off jerseys, playing at Yankee Stadium, and the hunt for the playoffs will have the players dialed in for this one.

Watching the cuse game and they have looked very good but have also capitalized on Louiville imploding, which is what good teams should do. This game has scared me all year. But I digress, I came here to give credit when credit is due. I saw a cuse fan holding a sign that said "Birds dont have teeth" and I'm done!

Geese have teeth. Well, not enamel ones like most critters, but what do these look like. Actually scarier than the their cardinal mascot head. Don't F with crazy geese...

Still no College Gameday Announcement.

I don’t think they like all the hoopla and broadcasting rights bit related to the venue is my best guess...?

Lame week for games. UCF/Cinci is the only other half way sexy game.

Aaron Taylor said 3 weeks ago watch out for this one----I think he s right---in the stadium where subway alumni got its name I hope they come out in droves to pump the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Pinstripes and all---need this one. Just another example of the diversified schedule that no other school is ask to navigate. Another Super Bowl for the opposition. And dopes in the media make a big deal about a conference championship game-Irish play 12 every year.

I admit I was shocked when they said Syracuse was 8-2. I follow CFB, but obviously not deep enough. How weird that with this schedule, Syracuse is the challenge, and not FSU or USC as much?

Well, just looked at the Syracuse schedule/results so far, they did pound Wagner (is that even a school?) They gave Clemson a good game. I have no illusions of ND beating Bama, but at this point I'm happy being 10-0 and this season has been fun to watch, especially tonight on my couch with the fireplace going, while it was 26 degrees outside.

Not scared of Cuse. Still nervous. They have sneaky good stats. Good O. Scrappy QB, several good RBs, good WRs... D is not that good. Will be easy IMO if Book is back, tough if BW is QB. They are a lot better vs the run, than pass. We should win regardless. I just want to beat them by more than Clemson did.

Sagarin has Wagner, a Division 1AA team, ranked 242nd out of 255, 1A and 1AA teams.

Wagner is 3-7 in 2018 with wins over Bowie State, a Division II school, St Francis University, a 1AA school, and Bryant University, also a 1AA school.

Wagner also lost this year to Campbell University, Sagarin's 224th ranked team (out of 255). Syracuse (Sagarin's 44th ranked team) beat Wagner 62-10 while Campbell beat Wagner 49-3.
