You have two general philosophies for playing the option... go for negative plays to kill drives, or play incredibly disciplined. We've gone for option B but the safeties/corners/linebackers have shown they cannot defend plays to the outside.

They also have one of the best QB-WR combos in the country. If Riggs can't cover some scrub from Navy catching passes by a running back, how is he stopping Jaelen Strong?

This game sucks so badly every year. Even if we blow them out, chances are they injure 2-3 essential defensive players of ours and we still get criticized for playing an academy. I'm really over this tradition.

I was recruited by Navy so for all those that may feel I'm jumping on nothing.... shush. They knew whom to take out they did and they will work our interior untill they either win or take another 2-3 elite's out of the situation.. This is what smart people do and how they'll be bowl eligible.

I was able to overlook a lot of things, playing a scrub UNC team close, not completely housing Purdue and Syracuse but this is ridiculous. We can't finish off a horrible Navy team when we're up by 21 we don't deserve to even sniff the playoffs. This Navy team is flat out not good.

Win or lose we gain nothing by playing Navy. I would love to see this game go away soon.

This biggest issue is that Riggs and Luke are getting destroyed by Navy blocking on every play. Neither can get off a block to make a play.
