I would play seven linebackers and four defensive backs, and leave our big men on the bench. Those big guys just can't handle the cut blocks and I am sick of loosing two or three every game against the service academies. Enough already.
If you want to play the big guys, let them play fullback or Hback and pound them.

reason i will bring this up because we all wondered why in the hell the players were lining up half standing when we played Navy and thought this was a disadvantage being off the ball ....in listening to Jaws yesterday on a talk show and then again today on svp and russillo today he stated that san fran lined up 1 yard off the ball because the seahawks oline is great w/ cut blocks and this actually helps....i personally think it would be the opposite, but then again i'm not a former nfl player, analyst or coach

If you're a yard or so off the ball, you protect your knees. When they lunge at you, the trick is to put your hands on their should pads, keep them at arm's length, and push them down into the ground while keeping your legs back.

i'd definitely have a punt on Navy to pull the upset, Ricky Dobbs gave pOSU fits a few years ago and Reynolds is legit, could be fun to watch

This young defense against the triple option scares the shit out of me. However, if we don't run for at least 250 and win by a gazillion points, I'll be disappointed.

Our current scheme and personnel are far better suited to stop Navy's offense than Diaco's ever was.
