I like the Shamrock Series as much as the next guy and I'm fine with bending tradition for a game, but IMO we should never, ever, ever play a game in a helmet anything other than gold. Ever.

Those are hideous. Black Matte with a sticker is the most overdone, cliched trend in college football uniforms right now, and if that's truly our Shamrock uniform I'm very disappointed. Being modern is fine, doing something that has been made old by Oregon, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Washington, Boise St., Duke, Wake Forest, Utah, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Stanford, Baylor, Arizona St. Oklahoma St., Rutgers, BYU, Purdue, Hawaii, and TCU over the last 5 years is not.

I hate it when teams who don't have black as a color wear black. It comes off as trying too hard to be cool. ND has so many great colors and previous uniforms that they shouldn't have to go outside of them to make a nice jersey.

I really like these helmets. Would be something different for the Shamrock game and imo would look really great, especially with some black and green in the unis.

This is probably a good suggestion. Would allow for some traditional gold on the helmet and the gold and black would probably offer great contrast.

I feel like that helmet is familiar, like a high school team's helmet that people threw around last year before the announcement about Shamrock Series jerseys. That green isn't even our green.

I think our Shamrock Series jerseys will be the Shamrock Shake ones like what the basketball team had.

I highly doubt this is real. The fact that it is a miniature makes me believe Nix saw it at a collectables store or friends house, took a picture cause he though it looked interesting, and threw that caption on to rile up fans. It looks like nothing more than a gimmick miniature to me, and I highly doubt that ND would release its Shamrock Series uniforms under these circumstances considering the fanfare they went through last year with Eifert and Teo. I would be cool to see a variation of these helmets for the series though.

I wouldn't bet on anything after last year's jersey. I just feel like a neon green would be something unique and not too far out there. Not as bright as the basketball ones but brighter than the 2002 green jerseys.

I'd love to see something like this below with our color palette for the Shamrock Series game this year. Something that is kind of vintage and really colorful. I like the blue facemasks on the gold helmet.

I really haven't liked any that we have done so far. The jersey's always look just alright and the helmets hideous.
