Two of the guys at ISD predicted an ND victory. Has to be a joke, right? Everyone talks about LSU's poor QB play, but I don't see them having to throw more than 5 times today.

And the model's not very confident in its prediction either. Not sure analytics will be very helpful here, with Zaire getting his first start and our defense being healthier than it's been in months.

Malik is bound to make some mistakes out there given his "freshness" and the quality of the defense. PLEASE don't rain all over him when he does. Give him some slack. This is a hard fire which should temper his steel for the future. This season is essentially over, let's make as much progress with this last chance that we can.

Day and Cage back in the lineup are huge positives for this point especially. If they are anywhere close to 100% I start to like our chances.

I think the Zaire comments are spot on, young team wants a chance to play for the future. Zaire is a quality QB prospect with two full seasons in our system. He knows he can win the starting job with a solid performance so if he is a gamer, he will be bringing it. Motivating the troops is only part of the job, if he can sling it today we have a lot to look forward to.

Smart money is definitely on an LSU victory. I was simply responding to tko's comment that he "sold all of [his] Brian Kelly stock" this morning, since he's been calling for BK's head for months already.

I have no real idea what will happen today. One minute I think LSU is going to just run over you, and the next I'm thinking that if you guys come in motivated you'll embarrass them.

My head is with LSU as a win by them puts the SEC another step closer to a sweep in the bowls and makes Bama's win over them look even better. I have to admit that part of me is pulling for you guys today though.

No, I am excited to see what Malik can do. I understand this is a terrible position to be in for your first start, but I'm hoping he makes the most of it and gets some good experience at the very least.
