Brey offered Thon Maker 's teammate who is a mid major kinda player but Brey wants that package deal like dj and torres
This.Give me Jarrett Allen over Thon Maker...Maker will be a 1 and done in college.
Is Thon Maker a realistic option?
UNLV: “Fast-paced, but right now, once again, they’re getting used to their coach. But, with them, they’re getting used to their coaching, but also they play a fast pace.”
So it gives good info on thon. Said he would like to take an official to ND but doesn't have a timetable yet. Most likely in April. Also said it ALL depends on what djax does with the draft so.
If djax comes back and we get thon i might shit myself. Auguste is very athletic but thon is a different specimen not only on offense but especially on defense where we lack
I've made this comment before but I continue to not understand this. We just don't have enough scholarships for DJax and Maker to both be on the team next year. Is someone planning to transfer that we don't know about? It just doesn't make sense.
What are the chances DJ comes back? All of the chatter seems to say that he is going pro.
Just for kicks:
Jackson (Sr.)
Vasturia (Sr.)
Beachem (Sr.)
Colson (Jr.)
Maker (Fr.)
Plueger (So.), Ryan (So.), Geben (Jr.) as bench contributors.
So wait... Maker will come to ND, but only IF Jackson is still on the team?
I don't follow hoops at all. Are you guys saying we have a chance for this guy?
Thon Maker, Athlete Institute Basketball Academy, Power Forward

If Mike Brey could recruit like he coaches, he would have top 10 caliber teams almost every year. I just don't understand the way he recruits. For example, Notre Dame basketball needs a big man like Notre Dame football needs a pass rush. But according to 247, Notre Dame only has offered two players in the 2017 class and the tallest one being a 6'8", 185 pound small forward. Just offer a few 6'10", 6'11" big guys that you would have a chance with and call it a day.
Looking back at his last 6 recruiting classes, Brey's 2013 class might be his best one. 3 current starters were in that class- Demetrius Jackson, Stave Vasturia, and VJ Beachum.
Other than recruiting big men, Brey has always had at least one really good guard on the team and sometimes even two. So kudos for that.
BB is funny. Is this really the name of Thon's high school?
Athlete Institute Basketball Academy
