Sir Mohammed, Garrett Sundra, and Cole Certa are all officially signed.

Excellent additions. Think Mohammed and Certa can be instant impact guys.
getting Mohammed was huge because was rated the 7th best combo guard in the nation this past summer. don't know if our irish ever got a guard with his height which is 6-7

Shit Bonzie Colson was our starting 5 at 6’6 a few years ago…

Yep-I've seen Sundra in the area and he's a tall kid but needs some weight and strength gains. Apparently doesn't even start for Paul VI-a beast of a team that dominates the area.

Depends on how you want to classify Cam Biedscheid and Ryan Ayers.

Sundra plays at the HS where I coach lacrosse. We had 5x D1 signees today including Sundra, 2x Duke players, and 1x UCONN. Hope he tears it up in South Bend!

He any good from your view? Like the potential but I heard he didn’t start as a junior for school.

'Ever' is a very long time:

6'7 guard = Bill Hanzlik (Beloit, Wis) was a Frosh recruit in 1976-77...same recruiting class as Rich Branning 6'3 (Huntington Beach Cal)...Hanzlik played guard his entire 4 years at ND-as did Branning

Hanzlik got to play with a number of guys that turned out to be pretty good. ;)

Yeah, that ‘80 team was probably Digger’s most talented team, but it’s rivaled by the ‘79 and ‘81 teams. He continued to get really talented players throughout the ‘80s but never got back to the top teams of the ‘70s through ‘81.

His final teams in the ‘90s were virtually talentless. Apparently, he just threw in the towel with recruiting (Ross twins, Brooks Boyer, etc.).

NCAA didn't have much choice, considering the cluster fuck they created with the free transfer policy this year.

Are we the favorites?

He has a long standing relationship with Shrews back to PSU. Was just on campus. I’d say so.

What’s interesting is while I like him as a prospect, he’s not exactly the profile I envision Shewsberry would recruit. Feels like a Brey special

When I saw that his comparison was Matt Zona, it was tough for me to get excited.

But, holy cow, I can’t believe Shrews choked this one away.

Honest question - when does the seat start to get hot for Shrews? End of this year maybe?

Last year we were expectedly awful but showed flashes. But so far I am whelmed with recruiting and I’m currently struggling to see how we can get back to legitimate contenders in the ACC.

We’re talking about a hot seat one season in??

Yeah, just talking about when it would come. Not assigning one.

Our 2024 recruiting class is decent, our transfers in are pretty poor, and we just lost a recruit with ties to Shrews to VT.

I think the fair take is to continue to believe in Shrews but to also recognize that turning things around will be pretty difficult given our roster. I’m not abandoning ship - just recognizing the rough waters.

I tend to agree. Recruiting is as bad now as it's ever been. Is our roster any better than it was last year? How are we supposed to be getting better each year without bringing players in?

Dude. He probably has a solid 5 years unless regression is obvious.

He needs to win to win the recruits. Those wins should come from good coaching.

I’d say yes, it should be. All contributing players have aged one year. Think we got some pluses in the transfer portal. Ivy League kid will be good. The big is yet to be seen but I expect him to be a contributor. He seems to be agile enough. That a plus on Zona, IMO, as a big.

I can't believe anyone would even bring up the subject. We are an impatient lot anymore.
