This game is a ton of fun

Accchhh! I'll respectfully disagree. I'm old school. These high scoring, basketball on grass shootouts with no D disgust me and are sacrilegious. I grew up on Bear Bryant, Dick Butkus, The Steel Curtain, and watching Ronnie Lott cause a lot of WR's to make some career decisions about going across the middle. I like tackling, tight coverage, and playing some defense.

Comcast peeps: I can get every channel right now perfectly EXCEPT ESPN 2 where the SB is on. Getting audio with a black screen. WTF. Anybody else?

Oklahoma lost the game when they didn't give Mayfield a single pass in the first overtime. I dont know what the OC was smoking.

It was fun to watch two imaginative offenses. Georgia running plays hit hard and fast. I wish we would adopt that strategy

Never heard of R. smith until he came to south bend. As a LB he took over the game against ND. One of the best college LB’s I’ve ever seen. He will be a great pro.

Lorenzo Carter was a 5* recruit. Had a good career through first 3 seasons. But he finally put it all together his senior season and has made himself a borderline 1st round pick.

I believe with UGA’s defense and those 3 rb’s and that posed QB they can compete with Bama and Clemson.

What a shoot-out! We have been treated to some exceptional games over the past five months... this was one for the books. Cheers!

Not sure where else to put this since there isn't a Bama/Clemson thread. The touchdown pass to defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne last night was pretty cool. Bama was inside the Clemson 5 and put in our short yardage/jumbo package with Payne, a 300+ pound defensive lineman as a blocking back. Instead of blasting him into the line to open a hole, he slid down the line and into the corner of the endzone and Hurts hit him with a pass. Surprisingly good hands and nimble footwork to catch the ball cleanly and keep his feet in bounds. Good to see one of the hogs get some glory.

Instant classic. Lots of Rose Bowl records broken: (1) most points ever scored; (2) first game to ever go to OT; and (3) longest FG ever kicked. Glad to have watched the whole thing.

I was surprised to see how much praise the ACC referee crew was getting in the post-game thread on reddit. But in retrospect, I can't think of a single call they blew.

Incredible game. It was like watching two heavyweights exchange blows and neither backing up an inch. I do think L. Riley will be sick when he reviews his play calling in both OTs. That was the only real negative to the game for me. I would have had Mayfield slinging the rock every down on those two possesions.

I would have gone for that 4th and 1ish in the first OT... oh well.

I get the idea that you don't want to always do exactly what the other team is expecting, but for OU in OT to go so far away from what got them there was hard to fathom. To take the game out of Mayfield's hands in OT was just stupid.

Had the replay of the game on this AM. When I watched it live, I was on vacation in FL, so it didn't have my full attention. My thoughts after the game, was that OK blew it in OT via shitty play calling.

That still holds true, but OK had so many other bone head plays and mistakes throughout the game. The biggest was OK's bad kickoff at the end of the 1st half. Giving UGA that FG with seconds left could easily be the difference.... And soooo much crap tackling.
