2nd this. The story unfolded in a very interesting and unexpected manner. It was helped by the fact that there actually was a resolution and the questions were answered. It's worth a watch.

Theres a 20 minute follow-up short called THE TICKLE KING. You can find it on YouTube. It completely closes the circle for everyone involved.

Watched Hereditary this week. Pretty good. The ending was a little out there, but overall I like it. Some good WTF and creepy moments.

I was really let down with this one, more WTF moments due to how awkward the family made you feel but zero horror factor for me.

The whole grandma/history thing kept me guessing, and the daughter thing and mom at the end was creepy to me. The whole family dynamic thing I thought was good. They could have done the ending a lot better IMO. I wouldn't say zero horror, but agree it was more weird/uncomfortable/creepy than horror to me.

Watched "Gifted" early this morning. Several friends have recommended it since last year, but didn't think it was my kind of movie.

It was great. Great cast, great acting (the little girl was awesome), and good story line. Thought it was more enjoyable than 3BBs, but not necessarily better. Highly recommend.

I really liked all but the last 20 minutes. It was really good up until that point but the end was just bat shit crazy. It just didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the movie.

Watched Mission Impossible: Fallout the other day. Damn it’s a great movie. Not be sound cliche but it was literally action packed. Of course a lot of the action is unbelievable but it’s not cheesy like F&F action. The only negative I would say is you know almost instantly who the other villain of the movie is. It’s a long movie, 2.5 hours, but it flies by. Definitely worth watching on a big screen if you still can.

Watched “Mother!” with the wife and found it gripping and entertaining to figure out.

Once you figure out the story it’s cool to go back and piece it together. Def worth a watch.

yup. it's almost like they took a lazy way out to end the movie... most of the movie was very well acted, creepy, uncomfortable, etc... and then they go silly/mystical without explaining a lot. it could have been so much better.

I watched all three Godfather movies over the past week. The third's spotty and so-so, but the first two are still incredibly good. The first one especially is just an all-time classic.

The best movie + best sequel of all time. I'd even say part 3 is the best part 3 of all time (as part 3s are never where they need to be). Watch at least part 1 and 2 every holiday season for tradition's sake. Grew up in an Italian n'hood/parish and it was like mandatory reading/watching...

You ever watched HBO’s supercut? They edit all three films together for chronological content.

Totally makes the story of the family even better, IMO, which makes sense because of how good they did with Vito’s story in Godfather II

Yup, I've watched it with buds from the hood during a raining beach day on vaca. Crazy cool. Someone did it before HBO for P1 and 2 as well.

Will be doing the supercut this holiday season in Naples if mom is up to travelling.

Saw Sicario 2 and The Meg. Sicario 2 was pretty good, but not as good as the first. I had zero expectation before watching The Meg. It was better than expected I guess, but would not pay to see it.

I saw "The Predator." The first movie is one of my favorites. This one was entertaining enough, but it is easy to see where this one went wrong. "Predator" took its high concept, almost-a-parody concept and played it straight with an extremely talented director. "The Predator" stumbles because it is too in love with its high concept aspect and the jokey word play. Also, Shane Black is not a skilled enough director to pull this off with the aplomb of John McTiernan ( to be fair, few directors are). Cool movie, but largely forgettable. People won't be talking about it 30 years later like we do with "Predator."

I’d say it wasn’t as good as I hoped but it was better than a lot of the crap that gets put out... it was funnier than I thought too

Finally got around to seeing Bohemian Rhapsody with the Mrs. It was pretty excellent. Thought the actor playing Mercury did very well, and the guy playing Brian May was spot on down to the look and way he plays guitar. There's some small Hollywood liberties taken for the sake of storytelling, but otherwise it was pretty true to the band. Apparently it's already the highest grossing music biopic in history.

I saw "Die Hard" on the big screen (finally!). TCM is doing classic movie re-releases in theaters and I was so excited to get to see this. Seeing "Die Hard" in the theater really drives home how well made the movie is; the attention to detail with sound ad picture. It was glorious. Bonus: my wife telling 2 obnoxious film geeks who were talking through the intro to either buy or tickets or "shut the f*** up."
