With Pirates 5 coming out this weekend, my wife and I will be re-watching the series this week. I can't figure out the critic (and audience) hate for this franchise. No, it's not Citizen Kane, but it's fun as hell and nowhere near the offensive badness of Transformers.

The fourth movie was trash. So bad.

The third movie is one of my favorite films, simply for the scene where Jack Sparrow is in Davy Jones' Locker with 100 versions of himself on the Black Pearl in a desert.

The first and second are very good movies.

What's with the cost of digital movies? I can get Pirates on Bluray for for $8 but they want $18 for digital. Damn crooks over there at Disney. #DiscountDigital

Convenience fee.

Pirates is great and I'm excited to see it. It's not supposed to be a content heavy series like Harry Potter, it's more about imagery, clever wit, and some beachy action scenes. And pirates are just cool.

Dakota throwing shade at Old Man Aaron.

If knowing quality cinema from hot dog shit catering to the lowest common denominator makes me old then... I'm glad I'm not Dakota and can actually tell the difference.

I would put PotC up there with transformers, first films were decent and the rest just pure garbage

Woah! Aggressive. I'd say that lowest common denominator you speak of is.... high school and college kids of that time period.

If you hadn't seen it until now... the likelihood of being amused is gonna go wayy down.

Aliens: Covenant was really good but you must watch Prometheus before hand or you'll miss a great deal of story.

Michael Fassbender is an acting baws. Can't wait to watch the next one in 5 years.

I did see most of Get Out. A bunch of my friends all raved about it being some high end Oscar winner... they apparently do a lot more drugs than I previously thought.

That movie was basically a knock off of The Skeleton Key with added racial components, and that's about it.

Step Brothers is the second GOAT, behind Anchorman.

Elf is behind those two.

Old School and Step Brothers are different types of comedy, but I'm still surprised that you didn't at least get some enjoyment out of Step Brothers if you like Old School.

I see the need to raise you "The Other Guys".

The Lion, The Tuna and the kelp story may have been the greatest cinematic dialogue of all time. The whole show was nothing short of brilliant!! Cheers!

It is a masterpiece of artwork.

I also lose it at the "Desk Pop" scene every time.

"Terry! Terry! I did my first Desk Pop! That's a real thing right?"

I think that movie didn't get enough attention or respect.
