The kicking game has been somewhat suspect all year. Definitely not dependable, and sooner or later it will cost us. Sorry, got hit all PATs, and anything inside 35 should be automatic at this level. In the long run, he's got the potential to be really good.

Dude is a tad streaky, but I'll take him any day of the week (at the current moment).

5 FGs and 2 touchbacks. Kid came through, despite the one miss. I'd take tonight's performance every single game.

He is 23 of 31 this year with the 2nd longest FG in ND football history. He really won it for us today.

I've been a bit skeptical of KB all year due to inconsistency, and his missed FG had me grinding...but he did his part today, and had good kick-offs to keep Lee in check.

i've said it before and i'll say it again, Brindza is money. When the game is on the line he makes his kick. The kick before halftime was huge

Great long kick tonight, and kicked well enough for us to win. Awesome job tonight, Kyle, keep it up!

Most field goals in a season for an Irish kicker and he didn't even start the season...is there really anything else that needs to be said?

Yes, there are a couple of people that owe Kyle and his aunt an apology for rude behavior.

boy, scott booker has been taking some serious heat on the sidelines. what the heck is all the confusion on field goals about? i believe Kelly really likes this guy and I hope this year has taught him some valuable lessons. i love this staff.

Field Goal Kicker is one position where the "light suddenly comes on" sometime in their career. They all might have a bad game [technical precision skills are hard not to], but Kyle looks to me like the light is on now.

What he has to do is not start feeling too good about himself in the off season and really work even harder at his craft. It seemed that Ruffer got a bit too comfortable in that way, and botched the beginnings of his last year.

The wild card here is: will Kyle be asked to attempt the punting too next year? This seems headed that way, and I'm usually not a fan of it.... but, "Kelly smarterin' I are".

Yeah Kelly has been riding him some but I'm pretty sure Booker was the one that Kelly was hugging when he got the gatoraid bath.

Both Brindza and Turk played really, really well tonight. Brindza, with a poor performance, would've completely changed the complexion of that game. The team basically put the game on Kyle's and Theo's shoulders and both delivered in huge ways.

The coverage units... outside of that last kickoff... were really solid too. Baratti had one AWESOME tackle.

Kyle deserves the game ball, maybe sharing it with Theo, but Kyle was the difference in this game. Five times out of six the offense stalled and Kyle put points on the board. Without his calmness and precision under pressure we would have suffered our first loss.

Defensively we had another strong performance keeping the other team from scoring more than one touchdown. Russell played some heads-up football intercepting one pass and taking pass interference penalties three times to prevent Southern Cal touchdowns. He was given a difficult job defending Lee, but kept giving the defense another chance to prove their mettle. And boy did they ever prove it.

It was bc Zach Martin got hurt and there wasnt a replacement designated yet and they had to run someone out there to fill his spot.
