If it happens he will be leaving the program in the best shape it's been since Holtz left... #brightside
Yeah I would think it wouldn't be difficult to attract a top coach considering we should be competing for a national championship next year with the talent we have returning on both sides of the ball.
obviously want him to stay, but really the only thing that would stress me is the current recruiting class... make the right hire, make it quick, and keep the class together...

Talent would be improved, but the reasons BK would leave would have nothing to do with talent.

Kill this flippin thread.
How could any ND fan just brush off the theoretical departure of BK??? It only took us 14 years to find a coach who could bring the Irish back into the forefront of college football.
So you think that it would be difficult to attract a top coach if BK were to leave?

I heard Charlie Weis is available and he is willing to bring his schematic advantage with him.
In CFB, everyone thinks you're either on the hot seat or 'looking' unless you're Saban/Meyer. If BK goes, I don't blame him, but I also think he's going to have a really tough time not returning for at least 2015. He'd be leaving with a full house of talent.
Harbaugh fvck Michigan!!!!!!
...I'd take irate Jim...
I agree. Also, I have a hard time seeing Kelly be as successful in the pros as he is in college. His strength are so college football. He might want a new challenge though. I think( or wish) he sticks. That's just my gut telling me that haha.
Don't take this the wrong way cause there's no one I'd rather have right now at ND, but BK would get hammered by fans for some of his play calling at the NFL level IMO. It's not his strength.
Well the Raiders would certainly be a challenge.....
