Is she only being charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor? Seems like she is getting off easy, pun intended.

I agree, seems like there should be something more. But I just heard...apparently the legal age of consent in GA is 16.

Yeah, you would think that they could charge her with child endangerment or neglect for the welfare of a child. Something.

I think we all know how this plays out...slap on the wrist, she did wrong, will be "punished"...

...then freedom to only do her best to f-ck up the other four kids.

She'll write a book on drug, alcohol, and sexual addiction. Lifetime movie to follow. In 5 years, she'll be rich and laughing about twister.

Reminds me a joke I heard years ago:

The parents of a teenage boy are cleaning his room when they discover a stash of BDSM porn. The mother is shocked, and asks the father, "What are we doing to do about this?"

The father replies, "I don't know, but we definitely shouldn't spank him."

She wasn't considered a mandatory reporter in Georgia BUT Any other person, other than those specified above, who has reasonable cause to believe that a child is abused may report or cause reports to be made. The one kid was 16 but who knows what the ages of the others were

Doesn't one of the "A"s stand for Anonymous? :whoknows:

I did not think there would be any legal obligation to report from the AA sponsor. Not defending this woman at all, but the incident had already happened and I would think at the most a sponsor would only need to report of someone was currently threatening action that would be a danger to themselves or others. I do wonder if this sponsor will be allowed to continue as an AA sponsor. I am not sure they could be effective after this, addicts have usually done some really messed up things and I would not think this sponsor would have any trust with future clients.

I assume that the original article has been severely edited because most of the stuff you guys are referring to is not in the article.
