I dont see the committee passing that rule. How does this get voted on and decided?

Ha yeah I was just being facetious. I saw someone tweet they guessed it was currently 3 to 1 against that particular rule change.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense but people are still making money betting both sides which reflect why the line is what it is to begin with and subsequently, why it moves later. If Vegas knows theyll get heavy bets on a specific team (Cowboys, Giants, Jets, Yankees, Duke (bball) etc.), you always make the other side's bet as attractive as possible. This balances the bets which is what Vegas makes money on anyway.

Hopefully I can find enough time to look at other major programs and see what they are like in relation to ND's data.

Back in 73 & 74 I cleaned up between the football and basketball teams.

Not when you are doing em...I used to hate those days, early as shit, cold as shit getting to sports complex and than the actual working out was a pain too. I miss those day but yet I dont.

Oh I still do mine early about 3/4 days a week. It just helps motivate me and gives me a reason to use pre workout. Sucks going to sleep so early though.

Me too but when I was 18,19,20,21..... it sucked. Now 4:40 wake up for me and to the gym by 5, cause with a 3 and 5 yr old thats the only time I can find. Agree with the going to sleep early, sucks.

So, we have the potential to finally run more up tempo this year, and the NCAA is looking to hamstring it? Sounds awesome.

NCAA football rules proposal could slow down Notre Dame's offense - South Bend Tribune: Football

I agree it could hamper someone like Oregon or Oklahoma now, but as Chris P Bacon alluded to, we would have to be looking at a huge improvement from the last two years to this year in regards to clock management to see this having a significant impact for ND in 2014. Going beyond that, maybe, but not this season IMO. I hope I'm worng and get surprised though.

On a larger scale, I think this could lead to even less parity in the sport. If you have to go slow and let other teams adjust each play, teams like Alabama will be practically unstoppable. IMO, it's no coincidence that they lost to a team that refused to slow down. Speed is a great equalizer, especially when the defense has to be adjusting on the fly without the luxury of running subs in and out.

Didn't I read that Kelly is going to call the plays this year? If so, things could speed up considerably.

I'll believe it when I see it......I've always felt Kelly had final say so on play calling during games anyway, but that's just my opinion......

Something to ponder..
