Man people are so miserable. Sometimes I forget that we live in a world where a huge population of people just prefer to be angry than happy. It’s too bad that people are so worried about things not going the way they wanted and not actually just enjoying the magnitude of the show. First off, this is the most expensive television show ever made in the history of the world. I am in awe of some of the stuff they are able to accomplish from a CGI, props and set perspective as this is a massive scale production. I do think the show could’ve used an extra 3-4 hours (maybe 10 episodes instead of 6) to further elaborate the character’s arcs and things of that nature like Jamie leaving Brienne quickly and finding Cersei and dying so quickly but overall I think a lot of it has been well done. In episode 5 I really enjoyed the Clegane Bowl and thought it was an absolute fitting end to fall into the fire. Following Arya through the streets gave the audience perspective of the horror and devastation because had we not seen closely what Dany was doing we wouldn’t have hated what she did so much most likely. There’s plenty of instances where the offscreen deaths are forgotten and the audience forgives or just doesn’t mind as much but by seeing the children and women mostly being burned alive then you have that moral conundrum of seeing the good guys doing terrible things which is kind of what this whole show has had in it. Many moral dilemmas with very few purely good characters. I also think the show left itself many options with how they could finish and which directions they could go which is awesome to me because I’ll be surprised not matter what. I kind of suspected Dany turning evil in Episode 5 but I was very much in denial right up until she flew off that building to burn people. People are going to hate how it ends, want to sue D&D, say it’s a waste of time, the worst season ever, the worst ending, but I’m excited for the surprises to come next week and I think it’ll be exciting to find out who will sit on the iron throne in the end or if there will be one at the end.
Ugh oh.
Don't bring a positive spin here... Or talk about how our society loves to criticize.

Lol I know I figured I’d leave one positive for the 600 negative posts to balance the scale a little bit.

TLDR: D&D get an A for effort. They tried their hardest and isn't that what really matters guys?

This was probably brought up already, but I didn’t realize that Varys was trying to poison Dany.

No shit.

I didn't even put that together when he was talking to his little bird.

I just thought it was lame setup for him to drop the "big risk for big reward" line, pointing to his treason and deciding to openly petition Jon.

My buddy thinks Arya is dead and that was Dany's horse from the beginning of the show. Seeing her in the preview for next week was a red herring.

I'd like it.

It would at least be something creative and they would've killed a favorite character.

I don't think they have time to throw Red Herrings like that right now. And they've never dabbled in the under world so showing Arya in it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's not a question they attempt to answer in the show so i don't know why they would do that in the last episode.

Think feminists are mad now?? Kill Arya
I literally walked into a bar yesterday at about 6 and a table of 10 women were complaining about how the show had become anti-feminist.

Can't make this up. I didn't think these types truly existed, let alone went out to socialize.

Never got into the show, but saw this on Twitter and with all the complaining by people both on the net and in real life, thought this hit home pretty well.

There is this far away magical place called academia where these people are literally manufactured and mass produced... I have stories for days.

True story.

Work on a college campus, and you're likely to be yelled at by a female for holding the door for her at some point.

I had to help with graduation one time, my role was essentially to help the girls with heels up and down the stairs... need I go any further about what a 21st century, mixed message, nightmare that shit was.

When I'm not coaching, I live that bar trivia life my man. I actually won the last round because it was a visual only "name that Game of Thrones character" round. Winning a round wins you a round of beer. (The quality stuff.)

After-work beverages and trivia are a staple for me as well lol.

About to head to "league finals" next week... $300 gift card to the local watering hole is on the line. That's 150 beers on $2-Tuesday lol.
