I realize you're pro choice and yes, it's currently legal. Doesn't change the fact that what they do is immoral, abhorrent, or that they spin it all as hard as possible to sugarcoat what it really is.

I don't disagree with you at all about the fact that prenatal care is widely available elsewhere and thus PP doesn't need to offer it at each of their facilities. The issue is PP touting it as one of their major services to justify their existence. It isn't.

We had a free clinic at home....in the middle of nowhere...that provided STD testing and birth control pills. If people want to give those places taxpayer money, I can see that. But a place that gives a girl like ten different "services" in addition to the abortion she came in for....no. They don't need taxpayer money.

I don't believe the NRA gets any taxpayer money. They provide a ton of classes teaching gun safety. But at the end of the day, they are a very political organization, should they also get hundreds of millions of tax dollars?

That's why I mentioned that abortions are only provided to 13% of patients.

You might think a first trimester abortion, or even the morning after pill, is immoral. I don't and I'm glad that 91% of abortions are first trimester abortions.

If the pro-life crowd were putting their money where their mouth was they'd want a Planned Parenthood providing contraception on every corner, because an increase in contraception and education seems to be working:

Planned Parenthood will report the miscellaneous items related to her visit as separate services equal to the abortion. So while the reality of abortion as Planned Parenthood’s big business is simple, Planned Parenthood does some serious mental gymnastics to concoct their reporting methods.

Planned Parenthood’s 2014 annual report states that the business saw about 2.5 million clients and administered about 10 million so-called “services.” Say Planned Parenthood gives a woman a pregnancy test and an ultrasound, commits an abortion, and sends her home with a condom or pack of birth control pills. This amounts to 4 “services,” or “discrete clinical interactions,” as Planned Parenthood calls them. Thus, the abortion, according to this counting method, only comprised 25 percent of the woman’s visit, even though she was there for an abortion.

Amanda, it’s been so long since I’ve seen a reference to the claim that abortions make up only 3 percent of the services that Planned Parenthood provides that I thought maybe they’d stopped trying. It might not be a technically incorrect number, but it is meaningless—to the point of being downright silly— for several reasons. Not the least of which being that Planned Parenthood “unbundles” all of its services so that a pack of pills, an STD test and an exam are three separate services.

And I specifically chose left leaning sources so you can't claim anything about bias. Planned Parenthood's primary business is obviously abortion... always has been, always will be and if they didn't perform abortions they literally could not pay to keep the doors open.
