A few weeks ago my sister took her little 3 year old boy to the urgent care because his stomach was distended. They did a urinalysis and looked him over and sent them back home.
The following week it was still distended so my sister took him to the pediatrician where they did a chest xray and saw he had an enlarged liver. They immediately referred him to Riley's in Indianapolis.
After an initial misdiagnosis where they believed it to be Leukemia/Lymphoma (which typically has a 95% cure rate), they've changed course and are now calling it a type of sarcoma. He has a mass in his chest and next to his spleen and it's in his bones.
They've administered the first round of chemo and he's been in the ICU.
I detest the idea that the most pure, uncorrupted thing we have (a child) is being devoured by this horrible dragon. If you find time, please keep us in your prayers.
