Exactly. He said we'd win tonight but predicts we'll lose at Michigan and at Georgia. Then he quipped at the end that we got blown up by Clemson so bad the committee should ban us for five years minimum.

It was VERY obviously a troll comment.

The headline is misleading and the tweet is histrionics.

Thank you. You are correct on that.

Finebaum's gotta be intentionally trolling just for effect and hits. He's made a career of kicking over ant hills and then standing back and laughing at the result. He's a smart guy who knows CFB, but too often stoops to cheap contrived controversy and outrageousness instead of intelligent and informative conversation. He's the Lady Gaga of CFB.

He's not as smart about college football as one would think-he reminds me of Howard Cosell who he admittedly admired-Cosell knew very little more than how to use the right buzz word at the right time-as does Finebaum. Plus he's made a living off of the sports version of Jerry Springer-if you look at him in the correct frame he's a silly comic of a sports journalist. Not to be taken in any serious light what so ever. I d describe as a harmless parasite-unless you allow him to have you as his host.

Watching Gameday right now and it’s a bit cringeworthy to watch Corso The way he is right now. Hope someone gets in his ear with some kindly advice that maybe should consider hanging it up.

Reports floating around that ESPN has offered Peyton Manning $20M to join MNF and is also talking to NBC about getting Al Michaels.

Would be a pretty good combo to help increase viewership. If Manning's numbers are true and he takes the job, this validates Romo's numbers.

Want to increase viewership?

Put it back on ABC where it belongs.

I still won't watch unless DaBears are on.

1. It holds NFL fans in the cable bundle.

2. It gets Disney higher carriage fees from the cable companies.

Wiz is the bastard that makes so we can't buy user choice packages... fucker.

3. It pays for Wiz's pay raise.

4. It pays for Wiz's monthly vacation to Disney World.

5. It pays for Wiz's closet full of over priced shoes.

Sports fans should not complain about the lack of a la carte packages. In that world, you'd pay more for just ESPN, FS1, and your regional sports networks than you do for the entire bundle today. Non-sports fans subsidize sports fans in the current model.

I don't work for ESPN anymore, I work for Direct-to-Consumer.

On an unrelated note, have you checked out Disney+. Only $6.99 per month for great titles that you can watch in 4K or download to stream offline later. What a tremendous value!

ESPN did what?!?! - hired Ryan Leaf of all people to co-host NFL live. Must have got him at the right price being a Felon and all. Somewhere JaMarcus Russell is getting his resume together between sips of Da Purple Drank.

Not that this ever changed, but Katie Nolan is still incredibly cute, entertaining, and dripping with personality. Was watching ESPN while I was out to lunch and they had her on. She's so damn like-able, why did they have her stuck on ESPN+ and then ESPN2 instead of being featured on the main program?

I actually totally disagree. She was cute/hot/funny when she was first on TV. Now she is just kinda cute and not that funny. I don't know if it's aging or her not taking care of herself as much or whatever but something definitely changed.

I can't believe there isn't a "Last Dance" thread.
I'll give ESPN all the credit in the world so far... I just wish WGN still had the guts and money.

There's been some post in the What Are You Watching thread.

I'm making my way through the series (just finished ep3 earlier this evening).

Why? I thought it was fine. Not an issue situation to do a mass production like that.

Because they found a traumatic event from nearly every kid's life that they could. Most of the time the event was not related to anything that could be considered quality draft analysis.

Wasn't that only on the ABC broadcast? Which was expected to that broadcast? I watched both, DVR'd and don't recall ESPN highlighting traumatic events for every or even half of the draft picks.

I noticed it on the ESPN and NFL Network broadcasts. They'd mention how a grandparent died in 2005 so this guy is motivated for them. LIke, IDK losing grandparents sucks, and losing them as a small child (like in 2005 for these guys) is rough, but does it really have any relevance?
