Romeo's gonna go play for my former ball boy alongside my HS/college rival's son and it won't be my former PG who gets him to IU.

Got a lot of irons in this fire.

I think Romeo's mind is made up and it is not IU. The dude is selling out gyms every place he plays and the crowd noise wouldn't be favorable if he doesn't choose IU.

Kinda figured IU due to where he set his announcement, but still a surprise. This puts Archie ahead at least a year or two with the rebuild. With Romeo, I think IU is an instant contender for the Big 10.... Wonder if this encourages Morgan to return.

Vandy will compete as well in the SEC with their class, although KY is stacked again for 2018 and sitting at #1 for 2019. Still can't believe Duke's 2018 Class. They have #1s in 3 or 4 positions.

And both Ky and Duke have underperformed given all that talent. I can see Ky with slimeball Cal not being a good coach but Coach K has zero excuse for his lack of recent success given the talent he gets.

Good to IU getting back to relevance. CBB needs them to be good.

Yep - K is a SAINT, just ask any Dookie around here. All above board and if any thing IS going on, it has to be behind Coach K's back. 2018 class is all the proof anyone needs.

Those dirty SOBs sold their soul to one-and-done - love to see them "underperform."

Huh?? Duke has won two nattys in this decade alone... In a world where a stupid one and done national tourney wrecks great seasons yearly, pulling off two titles in 8 years is still pretty 'successful' imo.

With his recruits he should be Final Four literally every year. Especially when you look at the matchups gifted by the tourney committee. It really is Pros vs Joes unless he is playing UNC or Kentucky.

And slimeball Cal won one. Still doesn't mean they have performed at the level they should given the talent they have. What will their excuse be next season given all that talent they have? Can't stand either one of them. One's a slimeball and the other can do no wrong - even with the talent he accumulates.

If the point is he is overrated or some such fine, but acting like his teams have consistently unperformed... again they won a title just three years ago.

Excerpt on Langford in the Indy Star.

"Langford spent part of it playing in the USA Basketball setup for Kentucky coach John Calipari. The experience wound up sending both sides their separate ways."

Longer term yes, but this season was a HUGE underperformance from the preseason #1. Didn't win the ACC regular season or the ACC tourney. Didn't make the Final Four. Lost to UNC 2 out of 3 games. Not a good job.

I'd love to see someone show the statistical difference in recruiting classes between the top 5 programs of FB and BB and everyone else. And then show which programs have the strongest advantage in relation o their peers: Bama football/UNC basketball and determine which has the greater talent acquisition year over year.

So many fun things

Hope they smash all these schools, and take it to adidas or ban them from NCAA contracts all together.

Probably only interesting to me. Spiece, out of Fort Wayne, is evidently involved too. Not good.

Jesus Christ. How do any of these programs make it out alive? I mean, this is Death Penalty level shit that makes SMU look like a group of choir boyz.

If UNC gets nothing for fake classes, I won't hold my breath for this...

The NCAA needs to grow a pair and work with the FBI to bring this under control. I suspect we would be shocked if we found out how big this really is.

Doubt they ever grow a pair. They will reward the money making teams and big names, while slapping down the rebels who don't fall in line. They've turned a blind eye on obvious shit for so long, and only react when it goes public. The NCAA is as shady as any of these agents/sponsors/bag men.

Watched this season of Ballers on HBO, where Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) takes on the NCAA. It was good stuff.

Whatever do you mean?? McCarron, Yeldon, Richardson, Ingram and Kirkpatrick all just come from super rich families who can afford those cars.... they do however care about the important stuff, like punishing schools for even reading the honor code.

Three of the five you list could easily have afforded those cars. The other two? That's where I came in. Remember ACamp... it's not about hiding the "benefit". It's about hiding the "proof" of how the benefit was received in the first place. Anyways... cars are too easy now with the stipends college athletes get. It's now more about the little things that make them comfortable. And much easier to hide the "proof" of how ithose little things were obtained.

I'll say it again TTT, you're as much a part of our success as Saban. I always laughed about the uproar over the "$60,000 SUV" Trent drove that turned out to be a very used vehicle with a Blue Book value of about $4000.

All three defendants found guilty on all counts.

Pretty big "win" for the NCAA. Basically, for now, makes amateurism the law of the land (right or wrong).

Things are going to get real interesting. Will be interesting to see who starts singing.
