Yes because Manti Teo, Jamoris Slaughter, Prince Shembo, Louis Nix, Lo Wood, Aaron Lynch, Stephon Tuitt are not from Warm Areas. Maybe we should go recruit from the equator where it might be a little hotter than Florida and Hawaii

He also said about a week ago that our defense got ran over by Florida State.

I wasn't aware that was the case...

And for the record, FSU had 290 total yards and 13 first downs. But, most importantly they scored a whopping 18 points!

Deuchebag...

Colin, like many radio personalities, will stir the pot to get a reaction. I personally hate him more than most, but its part of their job.

He just likes to stir the pot, the more controversial the better he's doing his job.

I was listening to him the other day when he was talking about Paterno. He said the biggest threat to Penn State was that their football program would continue to slide further and further behind the other Big 10 teams and eventually they could wind up "being another Michigan State." The sparties went nuts!

“We’ve enjoyed a mutually beneficial run with Colin for over a decade. He came to national prominence on ESPN with his unique perspective on sports and society. Endings also bring new beginnings, for ESPN and Colin, and we thank him and wish him the best.”

The Big Lead states that while no deal is done yet, they expect Cowherd to wind up at Fox Sports. TBL notes that ESPN made an “aggressive bid to keep Cowherd, but was upstaged by Fox, who are clearly looking to make a big splash.

Happy to see Cowherd off ESPN, disappointed in Fox for hiring him.

I just wish people would talk SPORTS and not wait for some scandal within a sport to actually cover it... remember when we used to care about the actual games???

Great move by Fox on the programming side but I'm with most here, I don't like listening to him. I like HOW he thinks, I just can't stand his voice and the things he likes.

Anything that diversifies the 24/7 sports news cycle is great news to me. ESPN is just too powerful and agenda driven. They were discussing SEC football, showing their FPI Rankings and stopped at #6. The Irish sit at #7 and they weren't about to show them there even though #8 - #11 were all SEC schools too. That's blatant.

We all know that Colin Cowherd is no fan of Notre Dame, and that he's known for making some pretty controversial comments. He, himself, openly admits that "conflict = ratings", so he's happy when people disagree with him. But he said something yesterday that really left me scratching my head:

In talking about the addition of Gunner Kiel, Cowherd said something to the effect of "It's no surprise that Brian Kelly went after a top QB. He did it at Cincinatti, and everyone knew that he would do it at Notre Dame. But I can't buy Notre Dame until they get some SEC-type talent up front on defense......." I so wanted to call in and ask Colin to read back to me Notre Dame commit list from 2011.

Don't respond to this 'Goober', he does this crap for the very reaction you will provide.

Still pissed that Fox Sports snatched Jay Onrait and Dan O'toole from TSN. These guys were really funny doing the Canadian version of SportsCenter.

So the answer to your prayers about how ESPN is too powerful and agenda driven is... 21st Century Fox? As in, 21st Century Fox, of Rupert Murdoch fame, is not too powerful and agenda driven?

Don't be ridiculous. ESPN has one agenda. MONEY. Money = ratings = audience = fans. That means Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Texas are on the same playing field as the SEC.

ETA: Also, Notre Dame is not at number 7 in the FPI anymore. We were, but the initial rankings were compiled with the assumption that we'd be returning our starting quarterback. We're now at 18.

FOX Sports Radio Weekday Lineup | FOX Sports Radio

I had to look up the Fox Sports radio lineup and I really have no clue where Colin fits.

Also, who will replace Colin? It has to be a West Coast guy right?

I love Eisen and Patrick. They're funny and very smart.

But, IMO, the rest of the line up (that I know) is just shock jock garbage. That's how I think of Fox Sports. I'll take ESPN's line up every time.

Ha, There isn't a single guy on ESPN that I view as anything other than 'shock jock'... just my thoughts.

I think Cowherd was the only one who was close. Makes sense to me that Fox is scooping him up.

ETA: On radio, I mean. I don't count Bayless and his ilk.

I dislike ESPN as much as the next guy but it sure seems like if we crank up the hate anymore, we'll need to chip in for FESPN tshirts for GameDay.

I'm still a bit confused why Brucelyn Jenner was a speaker at the ESPYs
