OSU obviously all-in in not losing to UM ever again. Easier solution would just be to fire Day. If OSU stumbles it’s going to look really bad. Expectations have to be through the roof.

This has David Shaw, Tom Herman, Tony White, Justin Wilcox, Brian Hartline, PJ Fleck, Barry Odom, D'Anton Lynn, Jason Candle, and the obligatory Matt Campbell as names to watch. Pretty standard list for a mid-tier P4 IMO. Justin Wilcox could be an interesting one. Hartline may be a better HC than coordinator and would be great to get him out of OSU.

Fleck is 5-0 in bowl games at Minnesota. He's 50-34 overall.

We're in the upside down now. Anything that is perceived as not being a fit is probably not relevant any longer. It's all too bizarre.

I would be so pissed off as an OSU fan if Kelly coming in resulted in Hartline going out.

I actually think Fleck would do well there.

National championship? No. But he could restore recruiting to Jim Mora levels, at least, and he'd have no pressure to win 10 games every year.

Bill Rees was at UCLA for a long time and used to keep a Bruins helmet in his home office when he lived in Lake Forest, IL.

Don't ask me how I know...

Fleck's also been coaching in the Big Ten for awhile, which might be a plus on his resume for UCLA right now.
Rees is funny. That would seem like a big jump for him. But I guess he was in the mix for Bama, so...

As posted in the Skunkbear thread, but noteworthy in retaining O’Leary that the Chargers hired Steve Clinkscale. His experience is DBs in general so this might not totally shut the door fully on O’Leary yet

In all seriousness, seeing all this movement is making me even more pleased with the Denbrock hire. We got a guy who called one of the best offenses in the country last year, and I don't think anyone could call him with a reasonably possible job offer that he would take over what he has.

Rumor is Tommy was offered OSU coordinator job before chip and he turned them down. Probably bullshit.
