This is why I'd like to see him get reps. I'm assuming the talent is there, he was a very high profile recruit. We need him to perform against high quality opposition so i would think its pretty important to get him some playing time, because frankly, we don't have a ton of talent available at the position right now.
I suspect with Austin out, and Lenzy possibly hurt (saw him grab his hammy?) that they'll get him on the field now. Really hoping for some quality production out of him. I think the footbalk factories have shown the impact high end receivers can have.
It's safe to say they are going to have to do something. The depth chart at II had the starters as Davis, Javon and Lenzy. Wilkens was the back up to both Javon and Davis, with Ben S. as Lenzy backup. I think it's fair to say that with Lenzy out, they will have a 5 man rotation of AD, LK, BS, JM, and JW. But they are really thin at the spot if they don't get someone else to come along. I would say 6-7 is ideal. Now, is that Johnson or Watts? The only other two possibilities would be Brunelle and Jones. But man, the lack of WR recruiting in the 2019 class has really come back to bit this program in the ass.
