Penn State won. Minnesota beat Auburn. Iowa beat USC. Sparty beat Wake. Indiana's got Tennessee tomorrow in the Gator Bowl (how the hell did Indiana make the Gator Bowl?). Big 10 lost their biggest but did OK in the middle tier games.

Both conferences are so overrated it’s embarrassing we can’t decipher this. Oregon beat the most overrated team ever to get to 6 and then won tonight because they just weren’t worse than Wiscy in this game. Then Utah proves they are terrible by getting housed by a bad football team.

Pac12 is such a joke. So is the Big12. I can’t wait for Baylor to beat a completely unprepared UGA team and then act like they did something

Okay but apart from those what did they win?
Some sort of Monty Python joke here.
Haha.

True. Aside from Minnesota and I guess Penn State b/c it's the Cotton Bowl no one cares about any of those games.

Or get cut stomped by Georgia’s defense and one wide receiver. The Big 12 is garbage.

There's also the fact that somewhere between 7-14 Georgia players aren't suiting up in this one cause of personal choice (Draft), unspecified reasons (Probably PEDs), or academics. I don't know how many players are sitting out for certain because they had a list up of 7 players at one point related to just defense, then another list they put up several minutes later with just offense.

[EDIT] It was 14+. Here:

The bowl selections should take into account a schools previous years tendency for star players not to play. Georgia should be in the Expired Egg in back of Fridge Bowl.

Good call dude, looks like they and the Big12 do suck that hard. I’ve always wondered how Baylor and Utah were in front of ND and now it seems I have even more conviction.

Michigan/Utah/Baylor(if they lose) all behind ND.

It could be me but having the playoff games played so early took away from the other NY6 games. I was interested to see who would win the Rose Bowl, but the others were kinda meh. Especially the Sugar Bowl.

Put the playoff games on New Years Day.

Are you sure this is correct? How in the world does Oklahoma remain at five after their beating?

Also, though, aside from the Rose Bowl, and the Bama-Michigan game, the matchups kind of sucked this year.
Rather than have Penn State, Florida, Notre Dame and Georgia all playing vastly overmatched opponents, Penn State-Georgia and Florida-Notre Dame would've been some good fun. All these very strict conference tie-ins are as much the death of the bowls as the playoff has been.

Rose Bowl would still need to be played on new years day

The after bowl rankings were just my projection. Of course there is plenty of room for discussion, even after the AP actually releases its own rankings, due to its subjectivity. Does Florida get that much credit to jump them by beating a 9-5 Virginia team by 8 points? Or Oregon with their 1 point win over #11 Wisconsin?

To use previous data as an example, when we got beat by Clemson by 27 points, our final ranking went from #3 to #5.

The Big 12 record in bowls is poor (1-5) this year and Oklahoma could be viewed as a paper champ, but I wouldn't agree with further movement lower than #7. I think #5 or #6 is more likely, not that I necessarily agree with it - to that point I think ND should be higher than #11.

No way in hell OU gets dropped to 10. I'd be surprised if they went any lower than 6

Okay, I didn't read it that way which is why I asked.

Given how they were spanked and the overall performance of the Big 12, I can see them dropping to 10. The pollsters have been a little goofy this year.

Mine would be identical to Legacy even though #5 is too high for Oregon.

1 LSU/Clemson winner
2 LSU/Clemson loser
3 Ohio St 13-1
4 Georgia 12-2
5 Oregon 12-2
6 Alabama 11-2
7 Florida 11-2
8 Penn St 11-2
9 ND 11-2
10 Oklahoma 12-2

Got the under in the Cincy/BC game at 53.5 before it dropped almost 10 points. In a lightning delay. Hopefully they can finish.

*Further proof God hates BC: their bowl
last year was cancelled due to lightning

the 250 fans in attendance are also hoping they play the game. BC had last year's bowl cancelled due to lightning. Would be kind of amazing to have that happen again.

It’s not just that Oklahoma got spanked. Baylor did too. The Big 12, Texas aside, had a lousy week.
That said, Oklahoma made the playoffs. They won’t fall too far.
I’d say this same 1-6.
Then Oklahoma at 7
8: Florida
9: Penn State
10: ND though Wisconsin landing here and us at 11 wouldn’t shock me.

As long as ND makes it to number 10. Very few teams have looked as good as ND since the Michigan debacle. The beat down over Navy looks even more impressive. Not sold on Florida as the waked by Virginia basically at home and Oregon got outplayed by a lot but Wiscy got screwed by the refs and the turnovers didn’t help. 200 yards (75 broken play yards) is not a top 6 team imo. We can beat anyone except the top 3 guys.
