Gotta love the unity.

I think its one thing to attack media but it almost like she is singling out conservative people on twitter.

Conservative Twitter has pointed out her flaws and apparently, she paid some attention to it. The media is garbage and will support CommiePsaki until she is replaced. They'll toss her softballs and when challenged- people will pretend conservative Twitter or the conservative party is linked to obscure voices in Georgia and try to make it look crazy and want to cancel/suppress/deplatform like they always do.

I actually know absolutely nothing about NM, except what I've picked up from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, so I didn't comment on that.

Conservatives have railed against universities as socialist breeding grounds. I can't wrap my head around why going to university is bad. I was actually part of my school's conservative party lmao.

What a skewed and bizarre world. Really further proof of the problem.

I think you just proved his point. LOL

That universities are liberal breeding grounds?

I wasn't "radicalized" till I was working at an accounting firm. Seeing how the policies I thought I was supporting because they would help me was a crock of shit as my marginal tax rate was higher than the client's I was working for.

Going to college can be very good. But it can be an absolute disaster when kids end up going for a degree that isn't going to help them with career prospects.

Totally, STEM all the way. Otherwise you need to balance college/trades with university degrees.

Studying econ I saw a ton of papers on why the sweet spot for ROI on university degrees is for STEM subjects, and if you're a woman even better. Otherwise meh the return isn't that great.

you know Fox News/Fox News Radio/The Washington Examiner/CBN/Salem Radio Network etc. all have credentialed White house press corp members? Are they asking easy questions too or its just the liberal media?

Universities, especially those that dictate our culture, i.e., Ivy, Stanford, etc, are completely dominated by the left. Sure, there are students that have right wing politics but the institutions themselves are completely dominated by the left.

I think you can even agree:

Being the party of anti-intellectualism has consequences.

Perhaps the reason you were radicalized by marginal tax rates after college is that universities are more eager to radicalize their students with race and gender nonsense, and are moving away from class warfare. Perhaps they're fighting the good fight, or maybe they're just not eager to point out fiscal inequities with their billion dollar endowments and high paying tenured positions

My old stomping grounds has done a solid job I think. The number of students have been pretty level for the last decade, but they did large additions to the Nursing school, pharmacy school, and built a big ass STEM building. They built some new Ag science stuff too.

Really leaning in on taking care of the programs where the students graduating will be in a position to donate in the future.

We already had a very nice business school. Let the shitty psych and communications majors use the dumpy old buildings lmaoooo

I'm not 100% in support or against the idea that ivy league type schools dominate culture. A lot of my fellow neckbeards in the progressive neck of the woods are pretty indifferent to those schools. Sure they do some ridiculous faux progressive type things that get everyone riled up but I don't think anyone on the Left will towards a bunch of "nerds" as cultural leaders.

I agree that universities are highly problematic (hiding investigations from the public, huge endowments, astronomical tuition etc.), 100% agree with you on that. I think though, it's a necessary evil to participate in the go-around that is post-secondary for people STEM-inclined. The attitude of not going to university because they're "liberal breeding grounds" is pure insanity and so backwards - not saying you have that attitude but I've seen it here.

I'd say 75% of us in my accounting graduating class were pretty firm conservatives and the liberal side of things was mostly coming from the non-STEM majors. This was a top-3 accounting school in CAD, so the attitude was that non-STEM majors were to be seen not heard lol.

I have a masters in social work. Dominated almost exclusively by the left. Who would have thought... the left controls our mental health and are the experts in mental health. Explains a lot. I had a lot of atheist professors and somehow most of my lectures turned into a long rant on some social justice topic. I dont know how many mock scenarios I had to listen to that involved the Christian father beating the gay out of thier son. It seems to be the goto example scenario in every example. Even in my training for my first job as a CPS case worker it was the go-to scenario.

Oh please. Obama wore a tan suit and conservative Twitter lost their minds. Never mind Obama ramping up of the drone strikes.... that suit though. Benghazi!!!!!!!! Lock Her up!!!! Hotdog gate!!!!!! Conservative Twitter needs zero help ginning up issues to bitch about nor any help propagandizing current events.

Dude, it's all binary to them. There is no sense in calling it out something because there is always an equivalization of how they're are so aggrieved. Remember though, it's always liberals that are the snowflakes.

The party of anti-intellectualism is on full display.

Here you go, don't clutch them too hard.

We literally have a Republican Congresswoman on social media supporting the execution of Obama and Hillary Clinton, and Blazers is upset about Psaki commenting about the "circle back" memes that were on Twitter.

Priorities, man.

If we all want this crap to stop and come a little closer, we don't need to be taking pot shots like she did. Biden said he wants to heal the country. His press secretary making a childish statement like that doesn't help.

I dont see whats divisive about the lady cracking a joke about "circling back." The last girl Donald had would get a few funny digs in too.

It wasn't the "circling back", but calling out conservatives as to why she's circling back. She could have simply explained that this will be normal for her in case anyone has any questions. I like that she will do a follow up. How many times do you see media at any level fail to follow up or circle back on a story?

I’ve got a masters in criminal justice. Social sciences are without a doubt dominated by the left. It’s like an echo chamber. Once had a professor that was actually professional and introduced a book countering the “accepted” facts. The book was peer reviewed and everything. There was a mini protest about the book. Several students refused to read and participate in the discussions because it went against “everything we’ve been taught” since undergrad. 6 + years of being fed the same story with no exploration of other theories or possibilities will do that to you.

Why do you even comment? You are a perfect example of why America is so divided. Agree with me or you are an idiot/stupid. Your contributions seem to be I am smart and right and if you disagree with me or have a conservative opinion you are dumb and wrong. We totally get it already.

What state is Toronto in?

I for one am stunned that a lecture on social work would involve social justice topics. Absolutely floored that that was the case.

What's next, astronomy might involve some conversations on the sun?

Right but the problem is that most lectures/scenarios almost exclusively involved the conservative as the villain. Ie religious dad beating up his gay son. There’s literally millions of scenarios of abuse, neglect, assault, sex assault, homicide...etc that happen within the left side of society. The go-to talking point is always on the right. That’s the problem.

Listen here, it's the centre of the god damn world! Prairie folk don't know how lucky you are to have Toronto!!

Moose Jaw, Quebec City, and Montreal are the only things Canada has that I am remotely envious of.

You completely wiffed on the point. I thought the obvious assumption was there would be social justice topics discussed in a social work lecture. I would think even those on the liberal side would agree the Christian dad beating the gay out of his son was probably overplayed. It was like a broken record... "lets go back to gay son scenario".

What is even more disturbing is I did my internship with a company that has a Christian foundation. When doing assignments related to my internship they learned it was a Christian organization, my professor and guidance office tried to discredit and fail me saying if they would have known the program had a Christian foundation they would have not approved this internship. We sort of had a "hearing" of sorts and I brought in the CEO of the company and another professor to have my back. They said they took issue with "the church" having guiding principles that go against the goals of social work. Luckily the CEO and professor laid out a good case and they "reluctantly" accepted the internship. I ended with a C for those 6 internship credits. That was in 2006/2007, its probably safe to assume ish has gotten worse since then.

I took an art class in which the professor said what the Nazis did to art in Europe is what Fox News is doing right now to America. Okayyy pal. I dropped it and picked up Russian film. Which was actually pretty interesting. I'm sorry you had an overbearing asshats as part of your college experience.

Most of my microeconomics profs showed us papers that poor people actually help stimulate the economy when they get money from the government, and don't just sock it away in their 401K. Must be liberal bias.

Reminds me of my History professor that blamed the jews for everything. He had half the class convinced Jews invented pornography to control people....

I took a Couples, Families, and Marriages class as a super-senior get some "wellness" credit requirement done. It was amazing. About 95% freshmen/sophomore women, 4% fr/so gay guys, and yours truly.

Every day was a bashing session on the straight white nuclear family. I loved it. One of the few large lecture classes I took where I made an effort to attend. Goofy classes like that can be really fun, like Ron Swanson going to a Whole Foods.

The only other "progressive" class experience I recall was an entire unit on women in late Western Civilization. I didn't understand why we had to learn about them as a unit instead of peppering them in with their appropriate time units in the class. I got wrecked on that exam. Whoops.

Business school classes were not remotely political at all. Then again I'm not sure how you make a class about pricing fixed income securities political.
