I think Mich St biggest threat here. Could get him and Thomas good combo to add
Biggest threat to whom? They're both UMs to lose.

Has Cass Tech ever sent anyone to ND? Football-wise of course.
meatchicken it is
No surprise and with JH there now, getting kids out of Michigan is going to be very difficult.
That works both ways. What will happen next year is Harbaugh will be able to go into more homes across the country as Michigan's brand continues to improve. That leaves more Michigan kids without Michigan offers. This is happening in Ohio right now. Of the 16 Four Star players in the state, OSU is only going to get 7, 6 if Cage ends up in South Bend. That's a lot of talent left for the surrounding P5's to pick through. The reason? Urban has gone coast to coast this cycle getting a historic class. That's gonna happen with Harbaugh too. The problem with Michigan as opposed to Ohio is they have less talent and two viable programs to compete with.
VERY TRUE, this also starts to rub high school coaches the wrong way w/ feeder programs when they do this
Don't even bother with the Bears. The McCaskeys aren't as cheap as they used to be (nickels and manhole covers whathaveyou), but they won't be ponying up enough for Harbaugh, who's making $9M/yr now. Also, he hated Chicago, because if there's a guy who wouldn't put up with his BS and could outcrazy him, it was Ditka. There's a reason that Harbaugh went to the Colts in free agency. Ditka broke him.
You make a number of good points, but now that the Cubs have won, the pressure on the McCaskey's is rising to produce a winning team. Even still you are likely correct that Indy is the more likely landing place.

there a bunch of former UM players coaching HS ball in Michigan (Cass Tech's HC played with Harbaugh) so I dont think it's possible for him to burn any bridges too easily.
He came out recently and scolded the BigTen for scheduling future games on fridays saying that friday nights belong to high school football in Michigan. He's too savvy to say anything that would offend the coaches and also the program has the money to hire any number of them as analysts if needs be to keep things sweet.
"He was recruited as a malleable defensive back and became exactly that, playing/practicing at three different positions as a true freshman before settling in as a safety during his sophomore campaign."Should ND pursue? You would think they reach out at least.

Plus lets face it...if he isnt good enough to start at Michigan, why would ND want him?
