Who cares though? lol

Lol I didn't care. It was amusing to me. Really did enjoy the class.

The married with kids white lady, teaching a class to 95% young white women, many of whom came to college to major in MRS, are in a class to complain about what is the dream for most of them, or will be the dream within a few years.

You completely wiffed on the point. I thought the obvious assumption was there would be social justice topics discussed in a social work lecture. I would think even those on the liberal side would agree the Christian dad beating the gay out of his son was probably overplayed. It was like a broken record... "lets go back to gay son scenario".

What is even more disturbing is I did my internship with a company that has a Christian foundation. When doing assignments related to my internship they learned it was a Christian organization, my professor and guidance office tried to discredit and fail me saying if they would have known the program had a Christian foundation they would have not approved this internship. We sort of had a "hearing" of sorts and I brought in the CEO of the company and another professor to have my back. They said they took issue with "the church" having guiding principles that go against the goals of social work. Luckily the CEO and professor laid out a good case and they "reluctantly" accepted the internship. I ended with a C for those 6 internship credits. That was in 2006/2007, its probably safe to assume ish has gotten worse since then.

This is absolutely wild.

On this topic, I'd recommend that everyone reads the book The Coddling of the American Mind. The scariest part is that things get worse in academia every single year.

Klobuchar's Midwest bitchy mom treatment of him is the content America needs.

Reminds me of my History professor that blamed the jews for everything. He had half the class convinced Jews invented pornography to control people....

Reminds me of every 4-12 teacher telling me the civil war was the called The War of Northern Aggression and instilled the Lost Cause myth in me.

Hate to be that guy but I will be, does he get this job if he were straight?

I know a lot of you will reply with "well but Trump" or "What about that other person hired that was not qualified" but thats not my question.

Oh come on! We know he didn't get the job because he's gay.

He got the job due to political paybacks. Buttgieg dropped out of the race 2 days before Super Tuesday. You can't tell me that there was no backroom bargaining with promises of future appointments.

I suspect he wouldn't have been a "legitimate" contender to run for president without being gay, but yeah. Those people didn't all just drop out without extracting some political capital first.

But what if, I make this about his sexuality? Think we need to ask the question, are gay people capable of holding office?

I took a Couples, Families, and Marriages class as a super-senior get some "wellness" credit requirement done. It was amazing. About 95% freshmen/sophomore women, 4% fr/so gay guys, and yours truly.

Every day was a bashing session on the straight white nuclear family. I loved it. One of the few large lecture classes I took where I made an effort to attend. Goofy classes like that can be really fun, like Ron Swanson going to a Whole Foods.

The only other "progressive" class experience I recall was an entire unit on women in late Western Civilization. I didn't understand why we had to learn about them as a unit instead of peppering them in with their appropriate time units in the class. I got wrecked on that exam. Whoops.

Business school classes were not remotely political at all. Then again I'm not sure how you make a class about pricing fixed income securities political.

Libs have been working tirelessly to take us from this bad version of America to this new and improved version of America. Even the mostly peaceful BLM folks raged against the nuclear family.

I guess unity would be hiring a conservative that does not fit in one of the straight/white/male demographics to show unity and check off your social justice box of choice.

Duh. It was obvious then and obvious now. I'm willing to bet Clyburn made the deal too. This gives the guy whose record of potholes and SB mediocre management that didn't transfer well to the national office have a better resume. The left didn't want the Bern and they screwed him again.

I'm for unity. I don't believe it will happen, especially under Dictator Biden and his wet pen, but I am for it.

Why Are Republican Presidents So Bad for the Economy?
G.D.P., jobs and other indicators have all risen faster under Democrats for nearly the past century.

A president has only limited control over the economy. And yet there has been a stark pattern in the United States for nearly a century. The economy has grown significantly faster under Democratic presidents than Republican ones.

It’s true about almost any major indicator: gross domestic product, employment, incomes, productivity, even stock prices. It’s true if you examine only the precise period when a president is in office, or instead assume that a president’s policies affect the economy only after a lag and don’t start his economic clock until months after he takes office. The gap “holds almost regardless of how you define success,” two economics professors at Princeton, Alan Blinder and Mark Watson, write. They describe it as “startlingly large.” (cont)

Cheers, guys!

Was thinking about this yesterday. I think there's two reasons why he may not use EO's as often. 1. He has the House and Senate with him so getting things done should be a lot easier for him than it was for Trump. 2. Biden is an old D.C. politician. He won't have the same mindset or perspective as Trump when trying to get things done. Trump loathed the political BS that makes it impossible to get something passed and implemented fairly quickly so he used EO's to get around the "highway construction zone barriers".

Well it appears Joe is not going to let off the gas pedal. He's setting records for Executive Orders.

With 28 Executive Orders Signed, President Biden Is Off To A Record Start

In his first two weeks in office, President Biden has signed nearly as many executive orders as Franklin Roosevelt signed in his entire first month. And President Roosevelt holds the record.

Adding his signature to three executive orders on immigration Tuesday, Biden has now signed 28 executive orders since taking office. FDR signed 30 in his first month.

"By sheer volume, Biden is going to be the most active president on this front since the 1930s," said Andy Rudalevige, a professor of Government at Bowdoin College.

I suspect there's some truth in both of those. Don't forget Biden appointed Levine a Trans to be the Health Secretary. Along with those and his all female communications team, he's definitely making an effort to show how woke he is and placate the extreme lefties like AOC.

Don't forget he picked his Veep because she won the narrow race against Susan Harris and Karen Bass. It wasn't because she was most qualified (certainly not), delivered a swing state (not even mentioned), or offered executive experience.

The party of identity politics hires based on identity over merit. It's spilled out into libs in the c suite too.

Who with better qualifications would you have hired? If it's just about placating those darn radicals, surely there's better options.

The title stands until he does anything outside of executive or administrative action.

How many dictators have to check with Joe Manchin to make sure he's cool with whatever they're about to do?

Thank god for Joe Manchin. I'll be cheering for his spine and morals for the next four years. However, I doubt Joe has been called before any of the wet pen stuff coming from the WH.

This goes back to the binders full of women thing that Romney got roasted for by the left. The reality is that he told the truth and that Biden probably called upon his binders full of women, minorities and trannies.

Any straight white male is automatically more qualified than anyone not a white male or is a gay or transgendered. Didn’t you get the white male memo?

This is why white people are so damn angry and why Trump was elected and was allowed to run amok. It’s why Kneeling during the national anthem is terrible but insurrection is cool. White people have feelings too especially white males and they aren’t being heard.

I mean Biden put an immigrant...... a immigrant to head up DHS. A gay Transportation Secretary. The only traffic that guy knows about is what travels up his ass. Amirite?

Fucking hell lolololl
