Wait. If you watch Better Call Saul, IMO, when Saul comes into BB, you'll get distracted by him and lose focus on what's going on in BB and not get the full experience.

BB is the greatest show ever made. No sense in adding to your current agenda. Sit back and enjoy.

Thank you. I'm assuming that quote was why he was banned?

Watching Both or watching BCS before BB is dumb, IMO.

Also, BB does start out slow, but it's constantly Going up as an incline. It's not one of those series where season 1 was good, season 2 and 3 were bad, season 4 was good, and the finale Disappointed... BB goes up the whole way.

BB was unbelievable and definitely in the discusion for GOAT. But its first two seasons were good, not great. The Wire is simply phenomenal throughout. Even the 5th season is underrated IMO and was gripping television for much of the season. The Wire at its best was equal to BB (or IMHO a tad better than BB), but its floor wasn't as low as BB. So BB was #2 all-time for me.

Better Caul Saul has been outstanding so far.

Tuco had to be my one of my favorite characters. Whatever the actors name is he plays him really well, complete maniac

He was supposed to have a longer run in BB, but the actor said the role was so intense, maniacal, and out there that it bothered him and he didn't feel he could keep playing the part without it doing him harm. Glad to see him reprising the role in BCS.

He did seem a little toned down in BCS, if you ask me. He still had his moments, but not nearly as crazy as in BB.

I thought tonight's episode was quite good. Curious to see how next week plays out.

He was supposed to have a longer run, but he was contractually obligated to be in The Closer.

The middle of the 3rd episode seemed to introduce us to the real beginning of the mess that became BB. Now on the 4th episode we are introduced to the mind. For everyone that has fought tooth and.. this ones... You!

Really liked this weeks episode with Mike's back story

"What they are afraid of most. More than a bullet" This is metaphorically as crazy an episode as I have seen In some time. Mike is a hero and we never knew it.

It has been the best episode so far, by a good bit IMO.

I'm an interesting test case with BCS. I have never seen Breaking Bad. So my opinion isn't based of preconceptions or linked to my enjoyment of it being a "back story".

I decided to get into the show because I listened to an interview where the Peter Gould talked about the show and said that it stood on it's own. That if someone hadn't seen BB, they would be able to follow it and enjoy it.

So here's my take so far. I enjoy the show. I think that Saul is an interesting character and that this week's show was the best one so far. That being said, i'm kinda "meh" on the series. Maybe it picks up and since I haven't seen BB, i'm missing a bunch of backstory ties that Peter Gould underestimated in his interview. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed the show and will continue watching it. I'm just saying that it's just been "ok", not great.

That was an outstanding episode.

I wonder if the episode had a singular purpose as a vehicle to show Mike's past and how he got hooked up with Slippin' Jimmy, or if it will have future effects on the series.

Pleasantly surprised at how good BCS has been. Is it BB? No, but it has been really good so far and has allayed my fear that is would be one of those horrible spinoffs. Mike's development has been outstanding. Really interested to see what direction the writers take us over the rest of the season.

Now that I'm all caught up on both shows, I'll be the one to say it.

BCS is 109284092750921785 times better than BB. BB was a fantastic show brought down by what I considered to be an insufferable lead. There was nothing redeeming about Walter White whatsoever, and whenever he (or Skylar) were on the screen, I tuned out and started playing games on my phone. Saul and Pinkman are what made that show for me, and I couldn't be happier that we get to see Jimmy McGill mucking around without Walt sucking the funny (or suspense or intrigue) out of the room.

That is interesting. If others agree, I may not watch BB after this season of BCS, as planned.

Honestly, BCS is just an okay show in my opinion. I was assuming some of everyone's fervor for it stemmed from their love for BB. So your comment is pretty stunning.

Nobody is going to agree with me, don't worry. Regardless, I still loved Breaking Bad even though I rank it well below BCS. I'd still recommend it.

I'm in agreement about BCS, not a WOW show but I'll keep watching it for a while.

Loved last night's episode. The back story on Mike is great. Always loved his character any way. But Jimmy's brother is a real douche. Starting to understand why he turned out the way he did.

My hope is that the finale closes with Mike eating in a Los Pollos Hermanos. Would love to see Gus Fring back in the mix.

Chuck is the worst. Ive had a feeling for a longtime he would really betray Jimmy/Saul. Last night that came to fruition in a big way.

Yup, last night's episode was amazing.

It had me dying to know what Jimmy could have possibly done to be treated so poorly by the partners over all those years of trying to work his way in.

When Howard went off on Kim for questioning his decision about Jimmy, and then said "wait, come back and close the door," I thought for sure there was some super sketchy aspect of Saul's past that was being hinted at to blow us away at some point... as it turns out, it's just that his brother is an all time selfish prick. And that had even more impact than any aspect of Jimmy's past could have.

They're really building the backstories methodically this season, they didn't just jump into intense drama. It says to me that they're in this for the long haul. It'll be one of the greatest spin offs of all time.
