TIL the guy from Juno is famous
In the thick of 1980s Cold War hysteria, the Romanian government created"Comrade Detective" to help promote Communist ideals and inspire a deep sense of nationalism in the country's residents. In the gritty police drama, detectives Gregor Anghel and Iosef Baciu investigate the murder of a fellow officer and, in the process, unravel a plot to destroy their country. Fueling that conspiracy is Romania's greatest enemy -- capitalism. The series was forgotten about after the fall of the Berlin Wall, but it has been rediscovered and digitally remastered to be seen by modern viewers. Now, though, the heroes' dialogue has been dubbed, with their voices provided by Hollywood actors Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
My daugther is currently obsessed with Black Mirror... I've seen some of it in passing, seems like a British Twilight Zone...
Ozark. Holy shit. I'm 5 episodes in and I think I'm officially hooked. I will always remember Jason Bateman as the guy from Horrible Bosses; for being such a dark show, he has done a really good job. I would definitely compare it to Breaking Bad, Bloodline, and Narcos.
10/10 would recommend
Well yea, that's what the show is about haha. Anything and everything else in the show stems from that. I get being disappointed if you had different expectations, totally understandable, but I enjoyed it.

Does Independence still have star players?
Yes!
Yet another former Florida State quarterback will be on the show. Four-star Malik Henry, from California, will follow Season 1’s John Franklin III (now a WR at FAU) and Season 2’s DeAndre Johnson (now a QB at FAU).
A few other Division I names include former Tennessee QB Sheriron Jones, former Michigan running back Kingston Davis, former Texas A&M running back Rakeem Boyd, and former Purdue linebacker Tim Faison. Lots of talent in the backfield, at least.
In recent years, it’s sent players to A&M, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Colorado State, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Tulane, and elsewhere, and has produced a handful of pro athletes, including Vikings linebacker Emmanuel Lamur.
Right in the middle of Ozark, love it so far. Can see how people are calling it a Breaking Bad rip-off, but it's pretty good in it's own right. Jason Bateman is phenomenal in this.

is Narcos worth a binge this fall/winter?

Yes but you have to actually sit and watch it. I like to watch shows while i'm drawing or whatever at night but Narcos has too many subtitles to multitask.
That's why i've never even tried to get my wife into it, she'd be lost in the first 20 minutes.
Your wife never comes on here, right? You probably don't want to have her read that burn.

wait so Narcos is in spanish with English "subtitles"?
or did you mean "subtleties"?
It's about Pablo Escobar and the Columbian Cartels, so they speak Spanish. There are Americans in the story, but a great deal of the show is in subtitles.
