This is on Amazon Ptime but Comrade Detective is legit good.

In the thick of 1980s Cold War hysteria, the Romanian government created"Comrade Detective" to help promote Communist ideals and inspire a deep sense of nationalism in the country's residents. In the gritty police drama, detectives Gregor Anghel and Iosef Baciu investigate the murder of a fellow officer and, in the process, unravel a plot to destroy their country. Fueling that conspiracy is Romania's greatest enemy -- capitalism. The series was forgotten about after the fall of the Berlin Wall, but it has been rediscovered and digitally remastered to be seen by modern viewers. Now, though, the heroes' dialogue has been dubbed, with their voices provided by Hollywood actors Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

My daugther is currently obsessed with Black Mirror... I've seen some of it in passing, seems like a British Twilight Zone...

It's great. Even the bad ones are still better than most shows. It's basically a TZ that focuses on technology. The episode with Jon Hamm from Mad Men is amazing. The episode with Bronn from GOT is awesome too.

Ozark. Holy shit. I'm 5 episodes in and I think I'm officially hooked. I will always remember Jason Bateman as the guy from Horrible Bosses; for being such a dark show, he has done a really good job. I would definitely compare it to Breaking Bad, Bloodline, and Narcos.

10/10 would recommend

This disturbs me. The show is mildly intriguing, so more like Bloodline. Nowhere near Breaking Bad. 4/10

Just finished watching season 1 of OZARK with Jason Bateman. I was a fan of it and hoping/looking forward to season 2.

SPOLIER: I was floored about Del Rio...absolutely floored.

Well yea, that's what the show is about haha. Anything and everything else in the show stems from that. I get being disappointed if you had different expectations, totally understandable, but I enjoyed it.

Sorry this is a late response but they marketed it as "Who Killed Sister Mary" and the trailer and stuff were focused on her murder. So that's why I expected something closer to MaM. Instead it was a molestation documentary.

That is exactly what it is, which means its really good.

I also like that you don't have to watch every episode, as each one is a different story.

I'm seeing reviews that The Defenders isn't great... has anyone watched it yet? I've watched both Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and half of Luke Cage so far and they've all been excellent (Jessica Jones in particular).

Ok, after finishing Ozark, I will say it has me intrigued for a 2nd season. The last episode was fire but....

Not all of the characters are believable, there are countless loopholes in the storyline (which you can accept for sake of theater) and it wasn't terribly interesting until the season ended. The first 9 episodes my wife and I kept saying (let's just finish it so we can say we gave it a chance).

Definitely didn't hook us, hell, I'd say Bloodline was way more compelling and I was ambivalent about Bloodline.

Final score: 7/10

Where is Independence Community College, new home of ‘Last Chance U?’
The Netflix JUCO doc is headed from Mississippi to Kansas. (SB Nation)

Does Independence still have star players?
Yes!

Yet another former Florida State quarterback will be on the show. Four-star Malik Henry, from California, will follow Season 1’s John Franklin III (now a WR at FAU) and Season 2’s DeAndre Johnson (now a QB at FAU).

A few other Division I names include former Tennessee QB Sheriron Jones, former Michigan running back Kingston Davis, former Texas A&M running back Rakeem Boyd, and former Purdue linebacker Tim Faison. Lots of talent in the backfield, at least.

In recent years, it’s sent players to A&M, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Colorado State, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Tulane, and elsewhere, and has produced a handful of pro athletes, including Vikings linebacker Emmanuel Lamur.

Right in the middle of Ozark, love it so far. Can see how people are calling it a Breaking Bad rip-off, but it's pretty good in it's own right. Jason Bateman is phenomenal in this.

He directed 4 episodes and was the producer on another which is pretty cool.

Ozark is fantastic, the dark humour does not come off in the trailer but it's there in spades when you watch the episodes. 5 episodes in and im loving it. Bateman is really great in it.

is Narcos worth a binge this fall/winter?

Yes but you have to actually sit and watch it. I like to watch shows while i'm drawing or whatever at night but Narcos has too many subtitles to multitask.

That's why i've never even tried to get my wife into it, she'd be lost in the first 20 minutes.

Your wife never comes on here, right? You probably don't want to have her read that burn.

I love movies with subtitles, but I totally agree. They are tough to binge. I mean, if you are gonna burn four hours or whatever trying to catch-up on a series, that is hard to do without mult tasking. I hav maybe two hours of subtitles watching in me without starting to check IE, tie flies, play music or something else.

It's about Pablo Escobar and the Columbian Cartels, so they speak Spanish. There are Americans in the story, but a great deal of the show is in subtitles.

Ask the creators to do this...

One of my favorite examples of creatively dealing with a problem in film.
