I've got a couple of Internists in my family, it's a lot more common than one may think. The most interesting was a gerbil with a broken tail.

Daughter in law is an xray tech. She's brought a few xrays over. One was of a hot wheels car tucked up in there.

Shampoo bottles, Barbie dolls, Sony Walkman, large chloraceptic bottle, light bulbs, they only come to the hospital when they can't get it out.

Found out over lunch that our start up is now fully funded. So in the word's of the great Izzy Mandelbaum, "It's go time." Since there is no "Retired Users" thread I'll throw my retirement / self-ban in here.

I've had the luxury of working at my own pace over the past 2.5 years in other tabs while keeping IE and Twitter open to follow along but that changes now that my time is OPM. Plus the travel will be extensive and a relocation to Silicon Valley is probably inevitable. So time to dial it down to sporadic lurk mode and play grown up.

In the short time I have been here, I have enjoyed your positive input to IE.

I have been close to the "retirement thread" at least three times in the past five years. But every time I'm out, they keep pulling me back in... DeNiro or Pacino... not sure who said that. It's never been about the money but rather the quality of life and to be honest, lately, I have been having a ball.

I know several guys that loved retirement. I know several guys that hated retirement. I thought that I was in the former group. Not sure anymore. Regardless, don't pigeon-hole yourself and allow for some flexibility... a lot of flexibility.
