Wooly, toughen up. You started a thread about feeling harassed because of a negative rep and threatened to leave the site there. Now you left until Title 2014 was banned? Don't let internet dweebs get to you. Brush that dirt off your shoulder.
Wooly also takes any opportunity he can find in totally unrelated threads to criticize my footwear and apparel choices.

Related: Men's flannel shirts were on sale for $13 at Kohl's on Saturday. Spend that paper (i.e. Kohl's Cash).

Was I whining about it? Did you even now I was gone? I literally did brush it off. I know its tough for an internet nerd like yourself, but I do actually live a normal life outside of Irish Envy. I didn't "take my ball and go home", but if this site turns for the worse (which NJNP certainly did that), then i'll simply stay away and do something better with my life. I'm not going to sit on here and cry about it like you do with your opinion of Pat. This place sucked with Pat, just like NJNP.

Keep talking shic and i'll track your lil @ss down at the next game and give you an atomic wedgie.

See... I'm like that mean step dad you always hated, but you look back later and realize he helped you learn how to be a man.

$14 flannel shirts?... you would have never pulled off a deal like that until I started in on you about your yuppie footware. See... i'm so proud right now.

Didn't say you were whining, just that you shouldn't be bothered by it. No I didn't know you were gone, but say you threaten to leave a couple times lately if certain things didn't happen.

As do I, lol. You won't get to me with that one.

I don't cry about it. I'd love for Pat to come back. He was funny, spoke his mind, and didn't care what people thought, but it's not happening. When I say #FreePat, it's not like I'm sitting in my room, sipping my soup and wiping my tears, hoping for an IE-prison break, lol.

It'd be a shame to lose you because of some silly posters. "A lion does not concern himself with the opinion of sheep."

To Wooly's whiny ass defense, NJNP had honestly began to make coming to this board less pleasant for me, and I've never had anyone do that. Sometimes I questioned whether NJNP was the greatest troll I have ever seen because he was brash enough to piss people off but subtle enough to keep himself on the board.

We should make an IE holiday where a banned poster gets to come back for one hour on a particular day each year and can say whatever they want in that one-hour window, before being banned again.

IE's Day of the Dead or something.

We already have that. It's called Leap Year. Every Feb. 29th, between the hours of 3 and 4am, EST, would work out well.

Selective Response is the first sign of a troll, and their foremost weapon. It keeps the troll-hunters engaged enough to delay the inevitable.

So can we remove the 2 butthurt neg reps he left me last week? Both of my comments were funny and made him look straight foolish.

Those 2 red bars are bringing down my, otherwise stellar, reputation.

They probably barely made a dent in your rep  Think of it as a parting memory from NJNP/Title2012

Let the record show I voted for alternative punishment... bringing Pat back and locking the two of them in the Thunderdome.

Two racist trolls enter, none leave.

How did this not happen?!?! Would've been an early Christmas present for us all.

Agreed. I could deal with him in the rioting thread because i began just calling out every post he made and he mostly ignored me. But t was when he would venture into the football threads that it was getting to me. I wanted to argue about everything he posted because he was pissing me off in the other thread.

Every April fools we should release the fools. ALLGATOR, Buinsteve, NJNP, and of course IrishPat

Permanent. We discussed whether to ban him extensively and decided that he deserved it. He could have been permanently banned for his comments on the night they released the Ferguson grand jury findings but out of respect for his long tenure on IE we wanted to get a consensus with all the mods.

His posts were mostly inflammatory and clearly his motivations to be on this board were primarily political rather than to discuss ND Football. Why, who knows?

all the shit that gets written in those politics threads and NJNP gets banned - he didn't back down, he said some things strongly, but he was flat out much smarter and much better informed than most people on this board and the vast majority of people who post in those politics threads, setting ideology aside completely.

those threads have become a therapy session for the angry oppressed white males of IE.

I am not angry... or oppressed. And while I disagree with others out here, I don't call them racists or attack them personally based on their beliefs. NJNP did... and thus got the hammer.

Can someone remind me who NJNP was before he changed his name to NJNP? I feel like whenever anyone changes their username they should have to identify their former name somewhere in their profile. It makes it hard to know who I have already judged and how I judged them.

One lined random comments calling people racists must really be impressive for you.

It's not like he had long, well thought out diatribe regarding his views. He mostly posted vague, one liners accusing people of racism without using any stats, valid points or opinion. Even his randomly posted tweets and links were from off beat sources with little to no valid information. I don't know who you think he looked smarter then, but I sure didn't see that.

He gave a face on IE to the anger and frustration that many in the black community feel. He offered an opinion (although at times, perhaps, too strongly) that makes many uncomfortable. I thought many times as he posted that when everyone bands together to tell him how wrong he is that it appeared to confirm the very points he was making in his posts. IE's reaction to his posting of uncomfortable points of view ... banning! Does not seem too constructive, IMHO. Do we think IE's actions made him question whether he was being a troll or do you think it just demonstrated to him that he was right all along? I acknowledge that he sometimes went too far, but I would argue that others did as well in what appeared at times to be a relentless attempt to discredit him.

Had NJNP been White, he would still be a member of IE. But he was not afforded that privilege.

Really? Because NJNP's white version was Pat... who is banned.

Listen, he was warned a variety of times by several mods about what he needed to do and stop doing to stay on the site. He ignored them and continued his inflammatory behavior. But typical to his feelings on society, it must be the rest of society's fault that he broke the rules and got banned. He didn't get banned because he was black, it's because he refused to do what the mods asked over, and over, and over, and over again. Pretty simple.

When you attack people and call them racist without fact then that's too far and worthy of being banned. You and I disagree completely on the sociopolitical issues of today but I don't attack you personally. There is a difference and NJNP crossed the line. He deserved his banning.
