I don't think I've ever wanted someone banned. Guys like Pat & Koon are very entertaining IMO.

We're not going to make ban decisions on whether someone is liked or not. The issue really seems to come from:
1. People posting the same thing too frequently so it feels like spamming.
2. People being disrespectful / aggressive.
3. People making "low quality" posts.

We're considering ways to elevate the discourse and limit "annoyance"... never going to make everyone happy. But maybe things like short forum bans for people are -- as the late, great Charlie Murphy put it -- "habitual line steppers."

Hahaha, I think you have in your earlier days. You seem pretty mild compared with Ding though. As much as we have disagreed in the past, I don't think I ever got to the point where I saw you should be banned for your opinions. Not that I think Ding is to that point but I think he is walking on thin ice at times.

Can we start a thread of the current list of banned users and the date of their ban? Also post the general reason for ban and duration. If possible if there was a single post that lead to their banning insert it.

This could be educational for those pushing the limits or stepping over a previously established line.

right. they werent making money off koon's every post and all the replies and discourse that follows. they had no reason to make a decision that benefited the then owners, just decisions on policing the board.

Now the decision is muddy water. If they ban and continue to ban, they are only short changing their own pockets.
