Bang Bang Notre Dame Gang - No New Recruits

This group really isn't into S&M. But a few pointers:

20+ years, when is anyone, including you going to take responsibility for your actions and stop trying to blame acting like a douche bag on everyone else including the team?

The farther from the core of IE I read, the more difficult it is to understand posts; did you mean "maybe" or "may be" two entirely different things.

You do not have the right to use blah, blah in this context.

If it does more harm than good, making it private will not fix that. It will then get worse. Liable, slander, and copyright violations are still violations whether or not the group is public or private. Ignorant post by dumb@sses are still ignorant posts . . . You get the idea.

The rest of your post is a false mea culpa. Maybe you can get someone to like you if humble yourself and confess your sins. Voila! You are saved!

If you look closer I was taking responsibility by saying I was an ingnorant fan and that I was too was part of the problem. I didn't post it for someone to like me, especially some body named bogtrotter, I posted it because something needs to be done. they are at least trying to make the group private. I honestly think another problem with the fan base is people like you who has to be right all the time and that goes around trying to correct people's grammara and use of the word "blah." I apologize we can't all be as smart as a bogtrotter. It seems we have different breeds of ND fans, The Bang Bang breed, the holier than though breed, and the Im marter than you version like yourself. At the end of the day we are all ND fans so relax, take your morning duece, have a glass of OJ, and then stop insulting people under some screen name..... that my friend is classless and an embarassment to the fan base. I at least tried to do something about the group....

Who cares, im not trying to be a part of this board. I am not interested in getting the ok to post on this board or get a lifetime IE membership. I heard there was some grumblings on IE and since some of my posts were being posted on this board I thought I would provide some context. I agree that the board should be gone but that doesnt look like something they are going to do so the next best step they can take is to make it a private group.

I just don't see why Bang Bang has to stay up.. Lou Nix is the only player on there anymore and he rarely comments. Just go to one of the 100000 other facebook ND groups and talk your stuff there where recruits won't know to look at it and no players will be bothered by it. The group is unnecessary

I'm the first to say it, I was an idiot on Bang Bang and twitter. Fortunately someone from Irish Envy got in my ear before I could do any real damage on twitter and my run on Bang Bang was brief. I'm still in the group though mainly for entertainment purposes. I rarely post... Irish Envy is the premier ND fan board. NO need for people to spill onto Facebook and feel they need to involve recruits/players. Players know to avoid fan boards. No need to expose them to it.

...my only understanding of Bang Bang is presented by IE members...so far I'd say they were spot on...

I think coming here and drawing a line between Bang Bang and all other "breeds", whom you painted in a derogatory manner ( the holier than though breed, and the Im (s)marter than you version ) says alot about your attitude...and kinda makes Boggie's point.

I'm a pretty simple guy...enjoy a beer, yelling obscenities at the TV every Saturday, hunting, driving my truck in places I shouldn't take it, building things...so could you tell me which "breed" I am? Am I "the holier than though breed, and the Im (s)marter than you version" ...is that some veiled way of whacking on all IE guys as elitests or something?

When a message is clear, or even decipherable with effort, apparent typos and occasional misspellings can be dealt with. When the message is so tortured and distorted by grammatical errors as to be ambiguous, misleading or nonsensical, this "elitist" gives up.

I am not holier than thou. Quite frankly, I am not holier than most. Perhaps I'm smarter than you, perhaps not. I am right many times, but I am also wrong many times. I hold my opinions dear but they do change on occasion. I am simply a Notre Dame graduate who likes to think he represents the school well. My hope is that others drawing a connection between themselves and the school do the same. Airing vitriol, poorly constructed and unsubstantiated slop in a public forum open to potential enrollees (in this case primarily football players) does Notre Dame and its many supporters and fans a disservice.

Well, it looks like the group went private this morning. Kanad (Kanye) got the boot because his name wasn't Bill Norberg or Peter Zabroski. They still think the group is more civil and better than anything other board. The ellipses are the only things that bother you from Peter's posts?!
