I saw outline leak and ran for the safety of IE, where people treat Star Wars spoilers with the contempt they deserve.

I mean obviously gonna go see it in theaters, but still knowing what to expect would suck.

Holy cow what a terrible poster. I don't expect poster images to be in line with cannon (that deathstar is way too big) but this is horrible photoshop.

I honestly don't know if you're being serious. The Death Star isn't supposed to be physically present over this beach planet.

You must have missed my comments on the ESPYs of that sham of a "town hall" they simulcast on ABC and ESPN last night. I've been 90% critical of TWDC lately, but they haven't let me down with Star Wars yet.

That's ambiguous at best, given the atmospheric interference that's present throughout the image, including how the death star is partially obscured behind the cloud cover in a way that looks like it's almost certainly meant to be physically present. But sure, lets assume that there isn't a terrible cannon abortion on it and that the death star is meant to be a symbolic threat over the skirmish. It's still a terrible poster that features cheap photoshop motion blur and certain stormtroopers appearing to stand on water.

Agreed.

If it's any consolation, they're calling it a "teaser poster" as opposed to the official movie poster.

being a huge star wars fan since before I could make my own bowl of cereal, I dont have any problem at all with the poster. The stormtroopers are not walkng on water, you can see the body of water (river?) is very small, and you can see both banks of the 'river'. Seeing both banks, its safe to assume that the 'river' isnt deep at all, and the stromtroopers are wading thru it. I think i even see white-water splash at the feet of some of them.

Considering how the death star pertains to the story, i think its apropos that the death star be 'looming' over the entire scene because its fate rests in the outcome. (the stealing of the DS plans)

Honestly,...? Eh.

This. I have a feeling Disney is going to do another bridge between ESB and RotJ next, cause $$$. This would be after the movies like the Han Solo spin off that were already announced of course. On the plus side it would probably have Dash Rendar, who is a badass.

As far as Rogue goes, I don't think I know any of these actors, and we basically already know the plot...so not sure how great this is going to be.
